@ Amanda - It doesn't really take 30 minutes.  Maybe around 10 to 15.  Good way to work up an appetite.  And then walk off the booze after.

We could car pool a couple /few people there and or back. We're on the East side of town.

I'm really excited about this.  Great Job Robin with getting all these businesses together to sponsor the event, you work Magic Miss Community Manager. I'm really happy to see Zero One Sushi there! They're one of my favourite places to eat.  Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones.

I had NO idea that there was a lottery or a system to be "picked" to attend?

@ Allison - All Yelp Community and Elite events are by RSVP, and require confirmation from Yelp.  There's a lot of people that want to go.  As Robin has mentioned above, there's an algorithm that is used to confirm.  If you didn't receive a confirmation then it seems that you didn't make it, which is unfortunate, but sometimes happens to us all.  If you can't get into the party this time, not to worry.  You have been reviewing steadily and have great reviews.  You'll make elite in no time.  

Check your junk mail just in case you missed something.  It's worth a look.  Email will be delivered from Yelp - Vancouver.

There's also UYE's (Unofficial Yelp Events) which any Yelp member can organize.  So keep an eye out for the next one and join us then.  I hear Larry is putting together a UYE for Chongqing style food.  http://www.yelp.ca/top...

*Should have warned us about the parking being paid-parking though. We thought it was the museum lot. Got a 40 dollar parking ticket. That puts a damper on the night. :(

Great event last night! Had a blast. Enjoyed all the food and drink :)

A first of firsts.  My first yelp party ever and my first event as an elite.  Wow what a way to start. Great party!

I loved it, had fun. I love how everyone was checking out people's name tags before faces to see if anyone was recognizeable = awesome.
