What/Why:
Part of Mexico Fest (September 7 - 17):

A celebration of Mexico's Independence. It features cultural, touristic and economic aspects and is dedicated to bring about a greater understanding of our country. 2010 is an important year for Mexico as it celebrates the Bicentennial of its Independence and the Centennial of its Revolution. For this reason, we are putting together an exciting agenda to highlight the various marvels that Mexico has to offer the world.

Mexico Fest 2010 will consist of nearly two weeks of activities, Starting on September 7 and concluding on September 17. This year's promotional focus will be the Port of Mazatlan, located at the north of Mexico in the beautiful state of Sinaloa. We anticipate the attendance of more than 15,000 people. Our main event, on September 11, will feature popular and folkloric musical performances, Mexican cuisine and various promotional stands.

Mexico Fest 2010's activities will be featured on local English and Spanish TV, radio and newspapers. Also, for the first time, Mexico Fest will be featured in a Chinese language publication. We expect to reach approximately more than 50,000 people with our advertising campaign. Thanks to the hard efforts of many enthusiastic individuals, dedicated to strengthening Mexico and Canada's friendship, it is our pleasure to invite you to experience Mexico in Vancouver this September 2010.
