What/Why:: A new style of market is in the works - unlike traditional farmers' markets that sell grandma's homemade jam, Toronto will soon have a fashion and art market selling unique pieces from local designers and artisans! Inspired by the famous, long established European markets, Portobello East market provides a low-cost venue for local artists and designers to show and sell their work directly to the public.

Opening July 26th and held the last Sunday of every month thereafter, Portobello East will be held at the Fermenting Cellar (buildings 6 & 7) in the historic Distillery District.

With over 80 designers on show each month, any fashionista or art aficionado can find something to suit their unique style!
