** PLEASE POST ON THE WALL IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS DATE BUT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN ANOTHER DATE** Thanks.
ROUTE
We'll meet up at Eglinton West subway station on a Sunday then head east through the Beltine, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Taylor Creek Park, eventually go south all the way down to Queen Street. We can then make a pit stop OR a brunch stop then continue on down to the Beach(es) then head west to the Martin Goodman trail, concluding at Coronation Park.
You can see the route for yourself by having a look on http://www.toronto.ca/...
SPEED
We will not be looking to set any speed records but we should maintain a moderate pace because we have some ground to cover. There are multiple drop off points for subway/streetcar if you wish.
WEATHER
This event is weather dependent. We will make the call on the day before. Personally, I would rather wait for a good weather day to go rather than pushing through. Braver souls than I are welcome to join up if the weather isn't fairly optimal.
ROUTE MODIFICATION POSSIBILITIES
If EVERYONE is in agreement, I will entertain the possibility of taking a longer route up through Sunnybrook Park and the Ontario Science Centre, and/or through Tommy Thompson Park. One caveat: I've only been through Sunnybrook Park once and kind of got lost, although I did find my way eventually...
MEETING POINT
Just outside the main door of Eglinton West Subway Station.
