Kate, I'd give the locations if I knew where they were! I always give two weeks for people to plan, but I also like to get the date out there even sooner to give people an idea of what's going on. It's not all about the hype. :P

It was an awesome pub "crawl."  Though I'd suggest waiting until late March to plan it so the ferry ride is a bit more pleasant.  Perhaps even Sunday April 1st, you know, since I'll be in town!

Would we want to be drinking the day after cask fest though Sean? I might need more recovery time if it is anything like last year :/

I'm only in town for 4 days, so I can't afford to take time out for recovery!  You can always opt for a big thermos of
coffee & Irish cream on the booze cruise!

Kate, I'm with you...I won't set a day aside until I know what the plans are. Which means if something concrete comes up in the meantime, the UYBC gets the shaft.

Yeah, I am super popular(that's a lie) and if something else better comes up(it won't) I won't be able to make it, but it all depends on the location. Some places are just a pain. Also, my cousin may or may not be in town.

Last cask fest  I was drunk from 1 pm until like 10 pm... the hangover was something special :P
Im not sure I could handle a ferry ride the next day, let alone a boozy one!

My issue is always parking/transportation. If it's in an area where parking is relatively easy, it's more likely that I'll be there. And Kristin, you are def popular! No lie there. :)

Is there a place that people meet, and do they share rides? Or are the venues walkable?

How this usually works Shalan is Marc will pick a neighborhood then choose 3-4 bars that are all within walking distance to each other. He then sets a loose schedule on when we will be at each one and people come and go as they please. It's a lot of fun -- but you can get wickedly hammered really quick

I was just thinking last night that I miss the UYBCs!  Pretty sure I have that night open, but location is always a big factor for me, especially now that my car spends most of its time on the north end.

Maybe I'm just daft, but why are people talking about a ferry? The event description doesn't seem to mention it, and all the locations appear to be on solid ground.

That was in reference to a previous event as people speculated where this one would be.

Oh the sheer tragedy of discovering this the NIGHT AFTER.  I live in Fremont, so I would have loved to.  Will have to keep an eye out!
