What/Why:
Hello nerds. Ready to geek out over Star Wars-y/Science-y stuff? Well, Discovery Science Center has the perfect exhibit for you...

From Discovery Science Center:

Imagine a world with humanoid robots translating languages, landspeeders whizzing down the highway, and X-wing Starfighters protecting the skies. Could these technologies, limited only to the fantasy worlds of Star Wars™, actually become a reality?

Find out as Discovery Science Center hosts an out-of-this-world exhibit, Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, presented by Bose Corporation.

Build and test your own speeders and robots
Ride a hovercraft and try your hand at steering
See real artifacts, costumes and props from all six Star Wars films
Explore the technology of droids and landspeeders
   And much more!

You guys should read the reviews. Apparently it was not worth the money. Almost 30 bucks to get in I think!

1/7/2012 Irene Y. says:

I checked out the exhibit today and i can agree that how $25 might be a splurge, but you can avoid it by checking out their deals/discounts beforehand. i paid 10 bucks, definitely worth it IMHO :)

I'm taking my boyfriend on a surprise date to this. He will be thrilled. :)

Jedifantastic! I'm going to get my Star Wars geek on.

1/26/2012 Christine "miss food explorer" H. says:

The cost is wrong. It costs $25 out the door for 1 non-member ticket. This includes the museum and the exhibit. The price above is probably the member price which most people aren't.

1/27/2012 Tim "Tam - BlackDragon - Meat Monster" C. says:

If you check to see about discounts and because you hold a Bank of America credit card or ATM card, you can get in for free to the Discovery Center but the Star Wars part you still have to pay.

1/27/2012 Jill J. says:

this is an awesome event! we had from ages 9-25 in our 4 person group and everyone had fun. only downside...they will only let you out of the Star Wars part to go to the bathroom, I guess no re-entry? I don't understand why if they are already giving you a wrist band to go pee, you can't use that to show you paid or even better just show them your ticket stub....
