What/Why:

Here we are again. It's a new year and we're ready for the first Words with Friends of 2012. We hope you all had a good and creatively productive holiday season, because we want all your latest stories, poems, songs, and other word-related items that defy categorization on stage at Bohemia on February 23!

2011 was a very successful and productive year for Words with Friends. We saw dozens of local writers from all kinds of different genres share their work and discover one another. We had poets, fiction writers, memoirists, performance artists, singer/songwriters, and even stand up comedians take the stage last year. We even had 2011 EPL Writer in Residence Marty Chan do a reading for us at our final event of 2011. We also saw some real passion and ingenuity in self-publishing coming from the people involved in Words with Friends.

We want 2012 to be even bigger and better than last year! If you've performed before, we want to hear from you again. If you've attended but never performed, think about taking the plunge! And if you've never been to Words with Friends before, we are always looking for fresh blood. The floor is open to everyone, so BRING YOUR WORDS!
