Yeah, I saw Bourdain do a talk and book signing at the main Chicago Public Library branch a few years ago and it was awesome, but it was also free. This sounds amazing but after getting to enjoy that for zero bones I don't know if I can dish out the $$ for a ticket now.

This sounded cool until I read the ticket price. Seriously WTF?

12/13/2011 Joe "Chimnyfish" B. says:

FYI tix are more like $62.25 up to $162.65 for the VIPs. This is what Ticketmaster had to say: (A limited number of VIP packages will be available, which include: premiere seating, a limited edition tour poster and VIP laminate, and exclusive access to a post-show meet and greet reception featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres from Detroit's acclaimed Saltwater and photo opportunities with Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert.

At $162 it sounds pretty cool, if you really really love Bourdain

How did you like the show? My brother and his wife went (I was jealous) and they walked out in the middle of it.  He said it was boring, the sound was bad, and Tony was reading from index cards. (Which doesn't like Anthony Bourdain using index cards? That doesn't sound right.)

I meant: "(Which doesn't sound like him. Anthony Bourdain using index cards? That doesn't sound right.)

2/21/2012 Mel B. says:

i did think the index cards was strange but i still enjoyed the show, i'm guessing maybe they had those since they don't normally do stage stuff and just to stay on track...idk. i liked how they asked the floor for questions. now about the VIP, i think they should of gave those posters out before the signing so they could of signed them as well as books. i hated the food catered from Saltwater it was AWFUL and they made u pay for your own drinks...who's ever heard of a VIP paying for their own drinks?? at least give us 1 or 2 tickets for free drinks. when they served the food to the B&R i wanted to die. the signing part was great, they signed anything and everything u wanted and if u had a camera this guy took ur picture. when Bourdain signed my books it was like a crazy circle and at 1st i thought he was drawing me a fun picture.
