- Good Food, Fine Fare and Lots of Fun for Everyone !
* There are lots of delicious treats for your eating pleasure on site at the festival! Who can resist tourtière, poutine and maple sugar pie? Sample some delectable maple taffy on snow on offer at the Sugar Shack!
* Begin your festival Sunday with a delicious breakfast, including tasty pancakes served with maple syrup for only $3 (children) or $6 (adults), all served in the Main Stage tent.
* Make a fashion statement! Visit the souvenir table for the official Festival du Bois "signature" headgear and other items.
* Come and laugh with Marieclown, Clochette Rigolo and Frenchie Le Clown who will be roving Mackin Park to entertain the whole family.
* Visit the École des Pionniers de Maillardville tent for activities such as face painting, fun and interactive games and more! Meet Mexican artist Ana Martin Del Campo and local artist Ricky Patassini, who create amazing paper mâché art. Their workshops teach about paper mâché, recycled materials and drawing and painting with crayons, pencils and acrylics.
* Visit the Francophone Scouts of Maillardville tent for interactive activities during the whole week-end.
* During the weekend of March 3 & 4, enjoy a tour of historic Musée Mackin House Museum (open from 12 pm to 4 pm). Located directly opposite the festival site main entrance at Mackin Park, the Museum captures a slice of life in the early 1900s when Maillardville was first established. Mr. Mackin and his family lived in the house during his time as manager of Fraser Mills. The house has been restored and is full of interesting artifacts from that era.
