I got lucky and went in when there wasn't any other customers. Even the employee said I came in at a good timing because there was a lot of kids before.
I like how this place to DO NOT charge a sitting fee and they give you unlimited paint. So you basically buy the stuff you want to paint on and you just pay for that price. I wish the items were cheaper but I guess it makes up for the no sitting free and unlimited paint.
The worker was very nice and accommodating. She even offered wine but I didn't feel like drinking.

My friends and I were set on painting pottery and came to Little Shop of Crafts to do so. They had a good variety of things to paint (plaster models that you could paint and bring home the same day or ceramics that needed to be fired in a kiln) although the prices were higher than we expected. Their credit card machine was also broken that day so we had to grab money at some nearby ATM's before paying.
The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful in explaining the process of choosing paints, number of coats, etc. He also played some really fun pop songs which gave us something to sing along to whilst painting! I painted a unique mug and bit off a little more than I could chew in terms of coming up with a paint-intensive design. The man was pretty flexible in letting us stay past the closing time to finish our pottery, though. There were a lot of young people there having a lot of fun and I even saw a boy stuffing a stuffed animal (kind of like Build a Bear), so they may offer that service for those who are interested too!
I haven't yet seen my finished product, so I can't speak to the quality of the paint and ceramics, but regardless, it will be welcome in my kitchen!
We came here on Saturday evening and it was packed! They were understaffed so it took about 10 min for someone to give us instructions and then once we picked out the vases, it took another 10-15 min to get specific paint colors. Since it was a Saturday, we received complimentary wine which they don't offer...you have to ask.
I give this place 4 stars because even though there was a bit of a wait, I liked the overall experience.
What a great place to be a kid again. They have excellent customer service. Everything is explained before you start, and all materials are provided (smock, paint, brushes, etc.) They don't charge you a sitting fee or for the paint. You only pay for the item you're painting, which range from $10 to $70. They offer many options: mugs, pitches, vaces, holiday decorations, picture frames, etc. I went on a Wednesday night (around 7:30 pm), and the place was empty, except for a two couples. It was nice because it was pretty quiet, except for the music, which by the way was awesome (pop and r&b). It was relaxing to come here and do something out of the ordinary. :-) By the way, they can also host a party for you (kids birthday party, bridal shower, etc.)
Crafting can be an expensive hobby. I went to Little House of Crafts with a Living Social deal and still paid money on top of my coupon but that was because I chose something big- a wooden trivet. There are a lot of items that are more affordable but if you want big dishes, mirrors, bowls or boxes, it's going to cost you. In the end, I feel that my trivet was worth it. I have been wanting to make a mosaic forever and this was my opportunity to do so. Plus, there are no studio time fees at Little Shop of Crafts. You can stay as long as you want. I stayed for about four hours and I was really relaxed once I left. Crafting calms my nerves.
I went to House of Crafts with my coworkers. It's a good place for group events such as birthday parties or weekend activities. Whether you want to paint, mosaic, or work with pottery, the choice is yours. The pottery requires you to come back to pick up your item after a week though. I was happy to take my mosaic home the same day. It's a two part process but well worth the effort put in.
Little Shop of Crafts is loads of fun. You can even make jewelry or a wannabe Build-A-Bear type stuffed animal. This place is mainly geared towards families with young children but is perfectly suitable for teens and adults. They even have wine nights.
