Kudos to Bob, Michael and Kevin that moved me out of my former home in Museum Parc today to storage. Museum Parc is a high rise that has many rules and regulations to follow for move in/outs including a trek down to the 2nd floor and a roll up a parking garage ramp to get to the loading dock.
The team that showed up was early, super friendly and very efficient and quick with my move. I was completely packed and organized when they arrived, so the move took very little of the time than it could have. At 3 people at $150 an hour it might seem to be a lot, but it is worth it as 3 guys can do a lot in 4 hours! I'm so glad I took a chance after I saw the Yelp offer. I highly recommend Corrib moving for your move, whether it's home to home or home to storage. Oh and don't forget the jokes... (Bob told some funny jokes... well kinda. LOL!). Also I sent pictures of my place to get the original estimate and the final price was pretty spot on. No surprises.
I'll be happy to report also on the condition of my stored items when I move it to my final location. Also on the storage they are charging you better pricing for space that you NEED not space that you buy to FILL. Consider this when storing your stuff. They assured me my breakables that were marked fragile will be treated as such. And I had a piece that went into overflow, that would have cost me more to store, but given the value of the piece...I decided not to do that. They called me to ask me and inform me that it would cost more, was it worth it.
Thanks guys! If my move is local in SF when I get a job again, I will definitely request you!
Best movers I've ever used! This experience has convinced me that getting quality movers is absolutely worth every penny. We had all our stuff packed and ready in boxes. We hired their 3 man crew which was a good decision. They showed up around 9am, loaded up the truck quickly (which could have been painful due to the hilly streets and the hard to navigate building we lived in). They didn't waste time standing around, talking or overplanning everything.
They got to the destination soon after we did. They didn't just disappear for 15-30 mins while driving our stuff to the destination like some movers I've used before. Unloading was very quick also.
The thing that most impressed me was how nice they were. Super polite and very friendly. They didn't complain about heavy stuff and had a very good work ethic. They didn't try to nickel and dime us for every single extra minute here and there. We tipped them generously for a job very well done.
Highly recommended! Don't forget the yelp deal. Paying with cash got us a discount.
These guys helped my wife and I move within SF limits and they were wonderfully efficient and accommodating. We had some unexpected delays with our move and they worked with us to find another time that would work.
We packed a lot of the stuff ourselves, but on move day they came and helped take care of the odds and ends that still needed to be packed up. And they took great care with our furniture and walls.
I ended up helping with a bit of the move myself, to keep things moving along and trying to keep the pricing down, and they were completely supportive.
I hope to not need to move again, but if I do, I'll call Corrib.
I found a Living Social deal for this company that sounded great - $40 for 1 hour of moving services ($100 value). I was planning on moving and needed a professional to move our piano. Based on all of the good reviews I felt confident in buying the deal.
When the time came to use the deal I was planning on giving it to a friend to use as they were moving shortly and my plans had been pushed out. Same plan, move a piano from 1 house to another within Redwood City. Unfortunately they decided that they were not going to honor the deal as it was described on Living Social (1 hour of moving services) and quoted 1.5-2 hours and $500-$575! Needless to say none of us used these moving services.
I would be VERY cautious before buying a deal that is being offered by this company because it appears they do not plan on honoring the deal based on the terms specified.
