During the night a good friend of mine recommended we go here for dinner, there was a private party in progress. The owner, Michael was willing to accomodate by allowing us to sit at the bar in the dining room. Many would feel this is sub-par, but I respect the fact that he was anxious to make every attempt to get us seated in the most prompt manner possible. Here's the deal-- it's, as it's name suggests, an "Italian Seafood grill...... AND sushi bar.
Bistro 1051 seems to pull it off with it's Home Depot inspired decor and friendly staff. In order to provide the best review possible, I managed to expand my stomach to get an accurate sampling of both the Italian food as well as some sushi. To my surprise, both were smartly done and executed well. I do have a slight problem with the use of space as it is uncomfortable while you are waiting to be seated; however, as I mentioned, I was here on a night where there was an unusually busy crowd.

Came here for sushi. They have sushi. Just so you know. I wasn't disappointed by it...it was good. Didn't stand out to me, but it was good. It's a very nice place...very nice...and the service is excellent.
I think 3 people were serving us simultaneously. Major plus in my book.

My new favorite place after two visits. The owner Michael is wonderful and try the chicken dishes! BYOB and great food! Sushi is also on the menu making this place unique as an Italian / Sushi restaurant. The deserts are also good try the creme brûlée. The crab legs are also another recommendation. Lastly, if it's nice out you can sit outdoors or in the sunroom. Definitely a gem in the middle of Clark.

Nice little place. The ambiance is very pleasant. There was a major function going on that night, so that may have impacted any negative touches on the evening. It took quite a bit for someone to seat us via our OpenTable reservation--which was peculiar...but we got sat and received mediocre service.
The stuffed mushrooms were very good, as well as the sauce they were in.
We really liked that they served italian food AND had a sushi bar. That's a great touch.
The sushi was fresh and good. The Veal Ava was a nice ensemble. I was sad that the veal was overcooked, and the proscuitto a bit dry..but the spinach and sauce were delicious.
The owner was very friendly.
