I've been a Mountain Equipment Coop member since 1999. I would say over the past decade I've probably spent around $4000. This store has some of the best prices in Canada. In general, I've found they are cheaper than most chain and independent outdoor stores (eg. Europe Bound, Atmosphere, Le Baron, Adventure Guide, etc). You do have to know your prices though.
