Having just gotten engaged, I am now on the look-out for my "bridal ensemble". I want something simple but different and eye catching and have been searching the internet for something NOT a veil or tiara. I have found several milliners online and have been considering a fascinator or cocktail hat. Being on 17th I stopped in at Ethos (another review altogether...) to take a look at some wedding dresses. In the same building, I noticed a sign for Zsa Zsa's Hat Salon. Not having found the website online, I was excited to see what was available in Calgary.
This store is absolutely amazing! The hats available are exquisite and are available to top (pun intended) a casual outfit to something suitable for the the most grand event and everything in between. Many of the hats are one of a kind - wearable pieces of art. Mo Fraser (the owner of the salon) was extremely helpful, even when I let her know that I was only looking now. She helped me try on various hats, offering suggestions as we went along, but not being "salesperson-y" about it.
I've checked out her website and you can find more information about the salon as well as several pictures of the types of hats she carries. I don't know if these are current photos, but they do give you an idea of the variety of "chapeaux" available. Apparently, this store was opened under the name of Cha Cha's House of Hats in 2006 but changed names in 2007...
I now have one less item to worry about for the wedding - and I may just return to invest in a hat to wear throughout the year.Listed in: Wedding
