Review from Emily-Anne P.
Vancouver, BC
Zocalo to me is the ultimate community space. It is a really large space that, although I was only in for lunch, I can imagine how it would be set up for live music, or community events. They had a really lovely display of art around the cafe and was generally really welcoming.
I had an amazing chorizo soup which really hit the spot after being out in the rain and they had a lovely selection of sandwiches to choose from. They also had very good coffee and sweets.
From what I saw they had some good gluten free alternatives (it looked like they carried gf beer too).
I highly recommend stopping in if you find your self in cute, quaint downtown Courtenay. -
Review from Wayne R.
Port Coquitlam, BC
LARGE space, gallery for local artists, urban fare,
great selection of ciabattas/pizza/breakfast/snacks/tapas,
and of course coffees/chai/tea and smoothies.
Internet access. Comfortable layout. Great space to meet
with friends, or curl up with a (massive) coffee.
A great place to recharge, revive, or just "chill".
Highly recommended, in the shopping strip of downtown
Courtenay. Shops aplenty nearby.
