This funky flower shop meets home decor shot meets cappuccino cafe is a fabulous little place located at the beginning our our (very little) little Italy. Upon first walking through the doors of this beautiful shop, your nose is greeted with a wonderful aroma of flowers of all different varieties. The ones that really stood out for me were the orchids, but maybe that is because I love orchids. They really do have wonderful ones here. They have them in all different colors for about $30 a "set."
The other thing you are greeted with when you first walk in is the smell of fresh coffee. It may seem like an odd combination but it is deliriously wonderful. There is certainly something special about the smell of Italian coffee.
After your nose gets used to the wonderful smells wafting around this store, your eyes are enlightened by all the different colors and cool vases in the room. This place has some of the most unique vases I have ever seen in Edmonton. They also don't JUST carry vases. They also have tablecloths, napkins, wine racks, coffee mugs, pots, glasses, and tiny art pieces. Zocalo is filled with beautiful gifts for yourself and others.
I came here in the winter and saw that they also have a little patio outside, so I will definitely be checking it out come patio weather!
Prices are a little higher for some things, but I think the quality is also well matched so it is worth the extra penny. -

Zocalo is a very unique shop in Little Italy. It sells all kinds of goodies for your home and garden, including hard to find, one of a kind, and imported bowls, vases, and items you may never even have though of before you visit the store. Prices range from inexpensive to thousands of dollars for some of the more intricate ceramic and glass pieces.
Zocalo also always has a wonderful selection of potted plants and fresh flowers. During gardening season, find bedding plants and all of the supplies you'll need to make your garden look its best. The courtyard hasa variety of unusual garden items such as a fountain, ornaments, and all kinds of different trees. The selection depends upon the season. Zocalo is also the perfect place if you simply need a bouquet of beautiful flowers for that special someone.
Relax for a while at the espresso bar, and enjoy a freshly brewed latte, mocha, or Americano, all served with a small piece of chocolate. There is also a variety of teas, muffins, cold drinks, and other snacks.Listed in: Spending Spree

Zocalo which is located in Edmonton's Italian district sells beautiful flowers and everything one may need to display these flowers proudly. This store is worth checking out if you are looking for a bouquet for a special occasion or if there is a woman in your life who enjoys gardening. Zocalo carries unique vases, pots, decorative objects, and of course live plants and flowers. There are also occasional bowls, masks, table linens and glassware. Some of the items which are imported and look particularly unique, cost a lot of money. How would you like a hand blown vase for $1000?
My mom enjoys gardening, so I will be coming back to Zocalo looking for unique plants, but I wouldn't shop here for myself. -

This is a really cool store I first discovered when leaving Lotus Soul Gym, located next door. I was told about the beautiful things they have so I had to take a peek. Your eyes are serenaded with an orchestra of colour as you step into the shop. There's a rich selection of hand-painted pots and vases, some blown-glass ones that are unique, and many other items including dish wear, kitchen decor, table clothes and more. They have a small cafe selling muffins and tea, and it seems that some people conduct daytime small business meetings here. A great place to pop in if you're in the area, grab a coffee have a chat or close a deal. There's also a gorgeous small garden centre attached, with more beautiful pots and hanging plants, or just a tranquil walk through to decompress during a hectic day.
