This store is living proof that less is more.

When I first walked into this place, I just about made an about turn and walked right back out. It seems pretty bare-boned. But when I actually started looking around, I realized that the stuff they DO have is more reasonably priced than any store of this type that I've ever visited.

They had genuine silver rings for sale for $4.99. They had pearl rings for sale for around $10. They had beautiful jewellery, beautiful purses, and some super neat Olympic crystal keychains for prices that will cost you less than lunch.

I also really appreciated the service. The woman working the store didn't loiter as I tried on a multitude of rings. She wasn't in my face or treating me like I was going to walk out without paying, like a lot of jewellery places do. She just left me alone and let me peruse at my leisure.

If you fancy things and things (scarves, house decorations, jewellery, keychains, etc.) I'd recommend you stop in at Zen. You never know, you may just find something that you love, and I can almost guarantee that you'll double-take the price tag thinking this place is too good to be true.

Zen store set up is zen; it has a nice aesthetic, everything from Chinese dresses, shirts, scrims, scarves and pillowcases.  The woman worker there is always very nice as well, so it is pleasant to browse the store.

There are many import stores at Eau Claire market which is kind of unusual, is there really a demand for these kinds of things? Plus most of these stores are jam packed with ridiculously overpriced novelty "ethnic" items.  Zen for me is the one with the most taste and reasonable prices.
