This particular purveyor of fine Oriental designs and accessories has something going for it that the other boutiques in Chinatown don't: space! How they lucked out in gaining this massive space in Chinatown is beyond me, as most of the boutiques are jammed into the tiniest of spaces here, but regardless, Zen makes good use of it.
The emphasis is on, as mentioned, Oriental designs, that being beautiful and unique silk embroidered jackets, gowns, mini-dresses and skirts. I am always in awe of the traditional silk gowns in bold, jeweled tones from royal blues, to blood red's and emerald green's. Each dress has a unique embroidery and I have come to learn that the pricing is dependent upon the intricacy of embroidery on the gown. The jackets and tops are similar in design but can be more affordable due to less material being used.
If you would like a gorgeous, original statement piece, Zen Boutique is a great place to start.
