I know http://Yelp.com isn't supposed to do big chain stores, but I feel I have to give a shout out to Zellers at Billings Bridge Mall. Why? Only because this Zellers is open 24 HOURS! When I first moved to Ottawa, this store saved my life. Well, not literally. But, being open 24 hours sure helped. One night, after a particularly nasty gastrointestinal incident, my toilet got plugged up. I had just moved into my new apartment and had not yet bought a toilet plunger. It was almost midnight. Nothing was open - until I recalled the 24 hour sign outside Zellers. Another time, 6 am one frosty morning, my car was totally crusted over in frost and I had not yet bought one of those window scraper thingys. I remembered Zellers and hoofed it over there to get one. If you are new to the city and haven't got all your stuff bought yet, don't panic. If you are in the south end, Zellers is there for you.
