Zellers is a store we go to for those items we see in the flyer. This particular item was a popcorn maker. The table top ones, sort of like the movie theatre look.

Anyhow, you know just one of those things you have to have. Well, it seems everyone has to have them. They were sold out everywhere!

We tracked one down , the red one to be exact and off we went. Zellers has it loyal clientele. It could be because of the Zellers points you earn when you shop there. I know a lot of people that buy everything they can there to earn them. I mean everything. Myself, I do not frequent the store a lot. But I have found some great deals of Nurf guns.

The store is very clean and has a restaurant to have lunch at to make it a full day of shopping, this always seems packed. The store is pretty big.

So all you Zellers shoppers, I know there are some great deals and those points add up. So shop away. Also this is a Canadian Chain, so support. They are the Official Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games Apparel Retailer.

When I`m looking to purchase a department store item, but don`t want the long lines or the busy isles, I visit the Bayers Lake Zellers store. To be honest, I`m really not sure how this store remains in business. The parking lot is always rather empty (compared to Walmart).

Zellers has one of the best weekly flyers. They have great deals on your average household items such as linens, housewares, shoes, baby items and groceries. We receive the weekly flyer each week, and more than likely we can find a reason to hit the Zellers store for something from the flyer.

The staff is pretty scarce in that store. It`s really hard to find an associate in a department. Yesterday I was there and a lady wanted to buy a watch and there wasn`t a sole working in that department. She has to walk up to the customer service desk and ask for help and they had to page an associate to the jewelry department more than 4 times. I think the staff must be cross-trained in departments because of the lack of demand and lack of customers. It`s rarely busy and I can`t say that I`ve ever stood in the line with more than 2 people waiting.

I avoid big box stores as much as possible, but on occasion other stores fail me and me creativity is lacking, so I end up at one. Zellers is not the nicest chain of stores (my friends and I had a terrible experience in a Vancouver location when our eyes starting burning from something in the air) but this one is relatively inoffensive. I was able to find the white baby onesies I was looking for, and paid with no issues. The store was clean, staff was friendly and the prices were cheeeeap. In general, nothing noteworthy went down, which is a clear improvement on leaving with stinging eyes.
