Awesome independently own store in Vancouver. Zelen Shoes is a boutique in Vancouver (Granville Entertainment District) and just heard they opened another location in Surrey (Guildford Mall)... the store is quaint but well organize. It is clean and well lit with Vans, Converse, Doc Martins, and Zelen Brand shoes neatly placed on the shelves.
When you buy shoes there they give you awesome canvas bags that I've used many times for groceries.
The sales people there are super friendly and always say hi to you when you first step into the store.
Seriously, if you want colors, designs, different laces, anything you can find it at Zelens. If you can't, ask and see if that's something that would come it. I think I have about 4 different converse and zelen shoes in all different colors.

As far as a shoe store goes, Zelen's is okay.
But if you are looking specifically for Converse or Vans, this would probably be the first place I'd recommend! They specialize in casual sneakers, and you won't find much else here.
I buy plain shoes and hand-paint them, so to me, Vans and Converse are a blank canvas for my artwork. I always rely on Zelen's to have the lowest prices, sufficient stock, almost every colour imaginable, and laces to match. Definitely my go-to place when picking up shoes for my latest masterpiece!
The staff here are always friendly, and quick to help me out. And it's located right on Granville, so how can you go wrong? -

Great selection of Converse and Vans all displayed beautifully on the wall; almost like an art installation.
The customer service was awesome. The girls were super attentive and friendly but not pushy at all.
I will certainly go back for ANOTHER pair. -

Chucks and Vans galore!! This brightly lit store is organized neatly, and has lots of selection of Vans and Chucks.
In every shade and size, for men's, women's,and kids. They also have all these funky laces, in different colors, widths, and patterns. People who work here are very friendly, and they have good sales here too. I spotted a pair of duo toned pink Vans...but stopped myself from more compulsive shopping...
Specialties
We specialize in selling the coolest looking sneakers. We have a huge selection of Converse, Vans, and Dr.Martens. We love our Chucks, Cons, or Converse whatever you want to call it! They are a comfortable shoe and very reasonably priced. However don't forget the Vans skate shoes, I have to admit I was a little hesitant to buy my first Vans but rest assured they are very comfy and definitely NOT only for skaters.
Not from Vancouver? No problem enjoy our Free Shipping Within Canada. Not only do we provide the coolest shoes we also have great prices. Don't forget the great customer service as well.
Customer service is our number 1 thing I know everyone says that but not too many people actually mean it. We challenge you to give us a try one of our staff members here will definitely try to put a smile on your face if that means cracking a few jokes or trying to dance in front of everyone. We want to make sure our customers leave our store with a great big smile on their face. :D
History
Established in 2009
Zelen Shoes opened on September 24th 2009. Before that it was a small child that lived at the back of a military store called Camouflage. Camouflage and Zelen Shoes are owned and operated by the same family. The space beside Camouflage became available then the family of Camouflage decided to take that space and move all the shoes over giving it a new name, look, and feel.
As Camouflage is more of a military store, we wanted to separate the shoes we had and that is what transformed Zelen Shoes into a full grown adult! We are brand new but the sky is our limit. By opening our store we have become the biggest Converse, Vans, and Dr.Martens retailer in Western Canada. With hopes of opening more stores we hope to be the biggest retailer across Canada for our brands. Sorry I mean WHEN we open more stores we WILL be the biggest retailer across Canada for our brands.
