Need bocconcini? Go to Zara's.
They have small and big balls. Marinated or plain. I prefer the big balls, marinated, myself. Ask for a little extra marinade (it is the best damn marinade you'll ever have), go home and make yourself a fresh bocconcini and tomato salad, top with the marinade, put in mouth and wiggle with happiness.
I give 4 stars because the prices are really high. I have no problem on spending money on good food, but Zara's is pretty pricey. Even for cheese.
Oh! Another bonus, they always have fresh giant basil for sale. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle. -

Best place ever to pick up your balsamic vinegar reduction needs. They also have a variety of pastas, fresh basil, specialty salts, and impeccable virgin olive oil. Great for dinners, dinner parties, self-indulgence, and gifts. The products do run on the expensive side, however, so be weary and fall in love with only one product at a time! For example, a balsamic reduction, olive oil, and salt was approximately $80.

If you are in the mood for Italian food you should swing by Zara's. They carry fresh pasta, a large assortment of olives, olive oil, vinegar and sausage.

A great spot for all your gourmet Italian needs, Zara's accomplishes what it set out to do with beautiful stuffed olives, amazing fine cheeses, fresh pasta's and meats. The freshly made pesto's, smoky sun-dried tomato and basil, are so fresh and flavorful you will need little else to liven up your pasta dishes.

Zara's is my pick of Granville Island's two Italian delis. I rely on their tasty yam gnocchi for bite-size pasta goodness, and their fresh pestos are delicious. Along with their fresh pasta, pestos, bocconcini, sausages and they have a great selection of olives and a couple of shelves of Italian dry goods - passata, dried pasta, olive oil. Great if you don't want to hit the grocery store for basics on the way home from G.I.
