My sister used to live in Turkey and when she came back to Canada, she couldn't get enough of Zara. In fact, if it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't have fallen so hard for this store.
Zara is HUGE and they've got clothes galore. They've got men's and women's clothing and most of their merchandise is European influenced.
I generally find the hottest jackets at Zara. I have spring and fall jackets from here, not to mention a couple of very classy dress shirts.
Zara carries everything from hats, shoes and purses, all the way to evening dresses and shawls.
Even when I lived in Toronto, I would make frequent visits with my friends to the Zara on Queen Street West.
It's a fact: no matter which city I'm living in, I make it a point to track down the local Zara and frequent it regularly.
Great clothes just keep me coming back for more. -

Someone check this store for a Carbon Monoxide leak. Every staff member I came across shuffled around like they had all sipped a Roofie Colada. I was asking one of the ladies a question, and she never once bothered to turn around so that I wouldn't interrupt her busy schedule of staring in to space.
Then it came time to pay for our purchase. No one was at the till, but after a couple of minutes a staff member came by and paged another staff member to ring us up. Then another. Then another. Then finally it looked like she was going to actually ring us up, when another one padded toward the till. Elapsed time? 10 minutes. There were only 2 other customers in the store aside from us.
One staff member to help us find a pair of shoes. She disappeared after finding the shoes.
Another to find the correct size. This was the one that gave her back to me the entire time.
One to page another staff member to ring us up.
One to finally put our purchase through.
+1 star for the cute clothing, but someone needs to zap these ladies with some injectable epsresso, stat. -

This is the only store location in Calgary and I have to profess that this was the only store in Guadalajara, Mexico that I really cared to get my shop on, and there with a population of 8 million we had 4 locations.
So Zara Calgary; it is my first time in, and let me just say, I am so happy it exists here. I wanted to compare prices to Mexico and what I found are that prices here are surprisingly cheaper, must be some import tax that Mexico has to endure.
With that said, this is now officially my favourite clothing store in Calgary, I have reviewed many clothing stores in Calgary in the last couple of months but if I could give Zara a 6 stars I would. Good quality clothing, in the most amazing, slick, modern designs for very reasonable prices.
I couldn't believe the jacket selections, and the diverse collections from casual to modern, from 15 dollars and up. The shoes are amazing and my personal favourite the handbags are to die for.
This season sees beiges and blacks, nice monochromatic colours in white, eggshell and lily. Perfect for our wintery and sexy snowy season.
Service is always good at Zara, and the clothing I bought at Zara 8 years ago has continued to keep its shape, style and durability because of high quality fabrics made and designed in Spain.
I am appalled I am the first reviewer for this store; I am a total Zara fan. 6 stars if I could. I heart Zara.Listed in: Fashionista List

Ok. So. Zara. I spent a good chunk of time in Europe a few years back, and I went to Zara every week or so to get my shop on. There, the Zara was three stories and expertly organized. Here... not so much. I'm not slamming the clothes - the Zara here has a more limited selection but it's all the same stuff. However, in Europe the sizes went up a little bigger (on some items. Big surprise though, eh?) and here... they do not. I'm good for bottoms and stretchy tops, but the slim European fits don't really accommodate boobs. I would get frustrated and move on if it was just me, but frankly all of my larger chested friends (no matter the size) have had issues with Zara's fit in jackets and such.
That being said, Zara is pretty cheap. It was cheaper in Europe but the prices are still decent, and they have tons of trendy fashionable clothes. My only beef is with their (adorable) shoes. They charge like an Aldo! Those shoes are NOT leather. Maybe I'm guilty of comparison shopping, but I still have a couple Zara pairs from the old country that were way cheaper, not a hundred bucks like I have seen.
I like to pick up basics and trendy items from Zara. See also: Cardigans. They have a ton of cute patterned t-shirts too. -

My girlfriends own a few really nice frocks from Zara, I had tried to search out something for myself a few times, but was unsuccessful. The big "sale" signs splashed across the store windows made me think maybe I just might find a good deal on something nice.
The first thing I notice about this Zara location is there doesn't seem to be much for staff. There was no one around offering to help me find my size or start a fitting room for me, I wasn't getting any warm fuzzy feelings from this place. There is a great stock of clothing, all organized well, dresses with dresses, tops with tops. One thing i love about Zara are their shoes, they can have some wicked styles. Although I never seem to be able to find my size, but I know 7.5 is common. The shoes usually go for around $70, $40 on sale, sometimes you can find $20 deals, but the sizes are picked over. Overall the quality of the clothing is top notch, without top notch pricing. The woman working the change room was miserable, like a clothing limit nazi. From the variety of blouses and tops I tried on, most fit small. I found that even though it looked amazing on the hanger, it didn't look so amazing on my body. So try things on. $40 for a top on sale, I couldn't justify buying something that didn't look great. The store is huge, I could easily spend a good chunk of time digging through everything, maybe then I would find something. Unfortunately I didn't find anything that was worth buying. If they had had my size in some of their shoes, I'm sure I would have walked out of there with a few things.
I like Zara's quality of clothing and they are right along with the trends, but do carry unique pieces too. I have yet to be impressed with the staff here, so don't expect much from them. Zara is definitely worth checking out!
