Review from Ryan P.
Let me just say that I've had A LOT of prime rib in my years on this planet and nothing has even come close to the cut of meat I had at Zambelli's. I've never been so excited about a steak in my entire life! Went here with a client that was local to the Edmonton area and I have to be honest, I was apprehensive when I saw the place. It just has an unassuming feel to it. The shrimp cocktail was good (although tough to screw up) and the service was prompt, but when they brought that prime rib out....I could have died a happy man. Zambelli's is more than out of the way by simply being in Edmonton, but if you are ever in town head up near the WestEd mall and sit down for a heart stopping prime rib. You will only need your fork and possibly a butter knife!

Review from Olivia C.
When I was in Edmonton last week for a family reunion, my grandfather suggested the family meet for dinner at this restaurant for dinner. I called the restaurant from my cell phone before we left the hotel to ask for directions. I called three times -- the first two tries I was hung up on. Thinking that this must be a fluke, or simply my cell phone losing connection, I tried again. The third time, someone answered. I asked if he could please give me the restaurant's address. His response? (And this is verbatim ...) "No, why should I?" Feeling flustered, I asked if I had reached Zambelli's the restaurant and the man concurred. Now, feeling completely stunned, I asked him why he felt it was necessary to be so rude to a complete stranger who was simply asking for directions. His response was that because he could see that I was "calling from California" that he was justified in assuming that it was a mis-dialed number. This all leads me to wonder, (1) how on earth can a restaurant stay in business with such atrocious customer service, and (2) has this imbecile ever heard of cell phones?
Unfortunately, because most of the family was already there, I still had to go to this place for dinner. The man at the front was clearly the person I had spoken to on the phone, and I he also appeared to be the owner (honestly, I can't imagine any other scenario by which a person like this would still be employed here). I confronted him about his poor behavior, and only after my insistence did he offer any sort of apology, and even then he only uttered the word "sorry" to make me leave him alone.
Needless to say, while I refused to do anything that would ruin the dinner for my grandfather, I could not stomach the thought of eating any of the food here, so I can not comment on that. Our waitress did a fine job and seemed like a sweet girl -- I felt bad that she was working for such an awful person.
