Review from Zlatko U.
We went here our first night in Quebec City as it was really close to our B&B.
The service was quite good and it was nice that they spoke English to us before approaching the table.
As I recall, the menu was quite easy to understand as the items were in their native Japanese names so ordering was a snap.
I had some vegetarian rolls and with wine. There is nothing better than the combo of the two.
This was a pretty good re-/introduction to Quebec for me. However it was not a pleasant one for my wallet. -

Yuzu Sushi Bar is a modern yet subtly elegant restaurant located around the corner from St Roch Church. I decided to go for lunch and was pleasantly surprised, albeit a bit worried that I had stepped into a "fancy" establishment for what was intended to be a simple lunch.
In my head the physical location shouldn't make or break a restaurant, (it's all about the food right?) but I enjoyed stepping into Yuzu as there's plenty to catch your attention. Even the seats at the bar were more than welcoming.
Yuzu has a simple lunch menu yet it is surprisingly complete. First a Miso soup arrived quickly that I found delicious. Just the right amount of seaweed and did I detect a bit of bread in it? The main plate (which I posted a photo of) had an excellent mixed green salad with a Sesamae dressing. Two imperial rolls (beef) with a Chili sauce were appetizing and the 4 pieces of sushi were great, I wish I had 2 more...
One minor note...I found the metal chopsticks cool to look at but a bit difficult to use. Mind you I'm no Mr. Miyagi but I can usually handle wooden ones with no problem, these took a little practice.
I'd recommend this place for lunch or dinner, it really has nice ambiance. Definitely a nice place for a date. I can't really picture it as a place for children though.
I'd like to come back for dinner sometime to sample a little more of what they have to offer and bring them up to 4 stars! Next time! -

Delicious food and excellent service.
Vacationing in Quebec, we walked by Yuzu, were intrigued by the atmosphere, and asked to see a menu. The man at the door (manager? owner?) helped us understand the French as he said the English menu was still in production. He thoughtfully seated us in a quiet corner, made personal suggestions in careful consideration of my gluten intolerance, and even came back to check on us later. When he did he helped us better enjoy the very good bottle of sweet silky sake he had suggested by advising that it needs to be shaken before each pour, and got us back the screwtop the waitress had taken, and also an ice bucket. It is so rare to have such attentive and personal service at a restaurant.
The food was creative and very good, beautifully displayed. Without the recommendation I would have never tried the sushi roll with lobster, maple yogurt, and green apple; it was excellent. I also enjoyed the duck dish very much, though if I were to have a conversation with the chef Id ask for a tiny bit less of the very unique interesting spice that almost tastes like licorice.
Overall, a restaurant that deserved the time and energy of a Yelp review, mostly for the service we received, but also for the good food and atmosphere. I hope others have the experience we did. -

Montréal, QC
I went there with a group on a Wednesday night.
They had a very interesting menu with many choices.
Unfortunately there were many things that wasn't available.
Food was really good in general and everybody was satisfied.
Service was not so good though. The waitress forgot one of the course.
Wine was really good and the suggestions and descriptions were really interesting.
Staff members told us they were planning to redo the whole restaurant's interior soon.
