This is my friends restaurant. They work very hard to make tasty food. They took it over about 2 years ago and have been working hard to get it up off of the ground. They added Chinese dessert to the menu of which I tried the mango and sticky rice (good) and the coconut and sago (great!). Also they added smoothies to the menu which they make with real fruit. Their food is much better than Go for Tea which is in the same plaza. Their Pho is very good. Also the staff is very friendly.

This new mall is awfully bland. There's a few restaurants in here, but this one seemed a best choice for me, and only met for a quick lunch.
They advertise Sing Viet Thai food. I had a vermecelli with Lemongrass grilled beef. For $5.99 you can only choose 1 type of meat. Other $ you can choose more.
It came quickly, the noodles were not dry, but the beef was not as many as I had hoped.
It's 2pm on a Saturday and I am here because I am waiting for my doctor across the way. They have free wifi here, and I would recommend it as opposed to the Starbucks in the nearby plaza. (Wow, I went in there with my laptop, and every single table was there filled with a young asian person, white ear buds and a laptop). Great little mom & pop restaurant. The Pho is one of the best in Scarborough, you can choose dry or fresh noodles but the MSG content is a little high, so prepare to drink lots of water afterwards. Try their butter fried chicken wings, it's godly and much better than anything you can get at conventional pubs. Decor is nice & new, service is great. This could be my new 'go to' pho place in scarborough.

Lunch Specials! Lunch Specials!
I went to Yummy Vietnamese Restaurant once when they have no lunch specials, I was the only one there eating.. and now with the lunch specials from $4.99 the restaurant is so much busier!!
The restaurant is relatively new. Nice and clean and bright with a big windows. The seats are really comfy with a lot of cushions.
I ordered the special beef noodle with curry based lunch special($6.50). Even when I was the first one that arrived for an early lunch, my order took awhile to arrive. But the wait is well worth it!
The soup is nice and hot! Quite spicy and strong flavour in itself! You can see the red chili oil floating on top! That's what I can authentic curry!! Not the water down version of a lot of other places.
The noodle though is the dry version. But they cook it well and the noodles did soak up the curry soup... and the portion is huge!! I could barely finish that! The order is Large size.
The lunch specials comes with a choice of drink tea/coffee/lemon tea/wintermelon drink. I picked the wintermelon drink. hmmm...the drink is a cold drink that looks brown....a little sweet, a little bitter.. and with wintermelon inside. If you are not used to strange Asian drinks, I will not suggest you order that. However, it suppose to counteract the effect of all the spicy food I eat.
There are 22 different lunch specials on the menu that includes Vietnamese, Thai and Malaysian dishes! And their portion so big, not like other places that make it smaller because of lunch specials. I would definitely goes back and try out other items on the menu!
