I went on amateur night (Tuesday). Only $4 and my mind was blown away! I arrived after 10pm and there were still seats available. I don't know if it was a fluke but every comedian got a laugh out of me. I guess I'll have to go a few more times to see if I just picked a lucky night. The show ran until11:30pm.
The venue is nice and clean. The staff were nice. Great way to spend a Tuesday evening. -

Amateur night has got to be one of the best values for entertainment in the entire GTA. $4 for 2 hours of entertainment from the Humber college students. Sure some did bomb, and most were just OK, but there were a couple gems.
If you want something fun to do on a Tuesday night, then this is a super great idea and deal. -

"Wow, baby, your eyes sparkle even more brightly than the rhinestones of an Ed Hardy t-shirt". (REAL pick up line, or a comic's attempt at a funny? You be the judge).
Duly impressed with Amateur night at Yuk Yuks (Tuesdays). Admission = $4. 2 hours of Humber comedy students refining their skills followed by open mic. For me, personally, the Humber students provided more groans than laughs, but there were a few real funny kids up there. The one singing about "After Breakfast Sex" is a legend in the making.
Love the venue. Typical comedy club set up - small, dark, intimate basement. It's small and the seating is arranged so that everyone is close within range of the stage. There were some booths at the back but you had to pay $20 extra to sit in a booth. Not so cool, they should just hand those out on a first come/first serve basis. Sheesh.
Drink selection was adequate and they had some food too. I saw some delicious looking fries coming out served in a large cone shaped hanging basket.
Will go back in search of some above-amateur improv soon! -

I would give it 3.5 if I could.
They get really good comedians (which is the foremost important thing), good crowds, good prices for food.
Tickets are a little expensive, food is average pub food (plus popcorn).
Overall quite enjoyable. -

I go to this Yuk Yuk locations every so often....stand up comedy rocks. Some comedians are amazingly funny, some aren't great....but those are a lot more rare. Its a great place to go on a date or with a few buddies. You can sit back relax, have a couple of beers and enjoy. Please don't get super drunk and start heckling the comedians though....they don't like it, and the audience probably will hate you for it. If you have never been to stand up comedy before, and you like watching just for laughs or whatever, you should definitely check this place out....only thing is that it is almost always adult humour which at times can be vulgar (doesn't bother me, but it may some other people).

Except for some attention deprived girl in the front row and her comments, I really enjoyed my night here. The host was really funny and sweet and the comics were entertaining.
My date got us a booth in back so we could munch on some food while we watched the show. You have to pay extra for booth seating, but as he said, "It was worth it." We ordered a burger and fries and the burger was fantastic. Our server was also funny. There were no female comics. Is that normal? Hire the server to do a show maybe? -

Haha. I keep going places with my mom that I WISH I was going to with a first date. Seriously! If someone took me to Yuk Yuk's on a first date (after an awesome meal), they'd AT LEAST get some gratitude sex.
It's a comedy club. I don't know if there's much more to say. They serve food and alcohol. The comedic value of the speakers was fairly good, ranging from flippin' gut-rippin to that's-not-really-that-funny... One guy had a vulgar type of humor which I wasn't so into. But then again, another guy stuck his hand into a girls nachos because she kept talking during his skit. So it goes either way depending on what you're into. You're guaranteed to at least laugh at SOMETHING. And if you're that hard to get going, than perhaps you should spend MORE time here. Maybe some of the joy will rub off on you.
Didn't give it five stars because the bathrooms are way too far away from the seats, and when you're in heels, you don't want to have to climb two floors after rubbing yourself up against everyone as you pass them by in the aisles.... -

Came with a date on Friday night.
First three comics were funny Simeon, Dylan sorry can't remember third comic but was really funny.
Headliner Jean from Scotland wasn't too entertaining. She worked hard though & seemed apologetic.
Drinks are reasonable. Bar staff very eager. Seemed desperate to get repeat business.
I always have fun here. I will def go back' -

After years of not going to Yuk Yuk's, I finally went here again for a good friend's birthday and was reminded of how wonderfully funny and entertaining a night out at a comedy club can be!
First off, my friend got a great corporate rate for his group who went out for his birthday. Each ticket was only $5 so it was definitely very affordable as an entry price.
Secondly, the comedic line up was amazing! To start, Yuk Yuk's had a hilarious host to get the crowd warmed up at the beginning and in between each comedian.
Thirdly, they had a line up for 4 different comics with very diverse styles when it comes to joke delivery and subject matters they wish to poke at!
The comedy overall was SO FUNNY. I laughed so hard that my abdominal muscles were killing!!!
As well, my friend had a great time at his birthday with all of the great drinks that were not too expensive at all.
Trust me, if you want something different for a night out aside from a club or a bar, try out Yuk Yuk's! You will not be dissapointed! You will be amused! -

$3 Amateur nights on Tuesdays - you get what you pay for
But if you stay past 10PM you get the good acts.
But by then you might have spent like $30 on beer to keep you entertained. Or you could just show up at 10PM -

Nice clean venue, great entertainment and fair prices. I was very impressed and will be back for another show for sure. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time, and wished we could stay for the late show too.

the comedy performed here is better than other clubs in the city but not necessarily astounding. I attribute this to a weeding out process that doesn't happen at all clubs in the city. However, black guys talk about being black, women talk about their cycle, bald guys about being bald and so on. The shows are affordable and so are the drinks. The food too is affordable, but terrible so avoid it. All in all it is a can't miss sort of place.

i been to most comedy clubs across the city, yak yak's is up there w/the best of them. My only 2 little issues were, 1 they don't serve pitchers which kinda sucks if there is a big group. 2 since im not a down town guy finding the place is not as easy as it looks (at night) but over all i really enjoyed the show, i would go again
