When it comes to boutiques, I am either in luck or completely out of it. Some women clothing stores appeal to me right away, and I keep coming back, or I just can't seem to find anything to my liking, and the store goes on my "skip it" list. Unfortunatelly, Yu falls into the latter category. Despite the fact that this boutique is stuffed with designer clothes, I couldn't locate a single item to my liking. Every item I picked up didn't live up to its price tag quality-wise. Yu carries a lot of Juicy Couture items which don't impress me at all. If i wasn't for 7 for All Mankind jeans and Vince tops, I would have left the store completely disappointed. Having been able to locate these two brands among rows of flimsy looking clothes, gave me a hope that I might be able to find good clothes here in the future. I may give Yu another try to see how their inventory changes and what kind of new items they bring in.

When I found out this clothing store was so close by I was excited yet scared for my bank account. I love the odd designer dud and this place carries some of the best! It is pricey but good for the odd luxury item. I became less scared for my wallet though after I went in and experienced the service. I walked in, walked around for 10 minutes before the girls at the counter even bothered to break away from their conversation, and then I showed myself to a change room after walking around with items in hand for another 5 minutes. I didn't end up buying anything out of principle. If you are going to pay that much for clothes the service should be worth as much!

I discovered Yu, and sometimes I wish I hadn't. I'd have a small savings account for rainy days by now, but I'd be less well-dressed for the weather. Yu is a designer boutique that sells brand names like Ella Moss, 7 For All Mankind, Lauren Moshi, Madison Marcus, Sir Alistair Rai, Ugg, Juicy, Velvet, Sanctuary and more. There's casual and dressier wear to choose from. I found a great line called Om Girl here, which has comfortable lounge clothes that work well for yoga, and they're hot! There's also I wide selection of belts, purses, jewelry and other accessories. There's a clearance section at the back, but even a sweater on 60% off can still be $50 or $60. It's expensive here, but the merchandise is top quality and super chic. I stand by my belief that every girl should have one pair of designer jeans to live in. You might as well make your bum look as good as it can look.
