I love this place. I've been coming here since they were "We Be Sushi". Same owners, different name. Honestly, I'd have to say I love "You See" better since their so clever being right down the street from UCSF.
Really simple, fresh sushi. Nothing fancy. Their prices have stayed relatively the same for the past 10 years I've been coming here. The teriyaki chicken bento box is one of my favorites anywhere. It's crispy and with just the right amount of sauce. Otherwise, ordering sushi ala carte is awesome.Listed in: Top Restaurants

Pretty decent quality sushi for one that operates as an ecomically-priced one. I think it's better than what I recall from years ago when this was a We Be Sushi. They appears to have a good selection of sake in addition to the variety of sushi.
I came here yesterday for an early lunch at 11:30am and was the second one to occupy a table. By the time I left, the place was full and many were waiting for a table outside. Apparently they attract many customers from the nearby UCSF campus during the lunch hour. -

Not the best sushi but it's a good value at super cheap prices by Inner Sunset standards - perfect for a starving student's budget or if you're just not up to spending $$$ for a decent meal.
They have lunch bento boxes and pretty fresh sushi/sashimi plates starting at $6.95 (!!), and handrolls for $3.50, which all used to be even cheaper until they had to remodel their restaurant for wheelchair accessibility compliance. If there's one type of fish you don't eat, they are more than accommodating in replacing it with another one on the list for no extra charge.
Service is friendly and food comes out fast. They also accept multiple credit cards for bigger groups which is rare for such a tiny place. -

It's a good place. Decent food. Friendly staff. Not the greatest or any wow factor, but it serves it's purpose and has great lunch specials. It's always packed during the lunch hour from UCSF staff.

Its pretty hard to find a cheap yet decent japanese restaurant anywhere, especially in the city, but this place meets up to those expectations.
I came here with my best friend for lunch on a ridiculously hot Friday afternoon. We walked in a little before 12 and it was so stuffy and humid in there, but none the less, there were about 2 other people in the restaurant but within the next 25-30 minutes, it got PACKED which didn't help the heat what so ever. Anyways, my friend and I both got their lunch special that came with 15 piece of tempura, 5 or so slices of raw fish and rice. It was HUGE for about $10. Lets see you find that much for that price at any other Japanese restaurant around the city!
It's a great place to go if youre looking for some cheap and filling Japanese food! -

Large sushi selection, very fresh and good sushi, low prices! I highly recommend You See Sushi for both takeout and dine-in. I always had good experience with their customer service and you can get a lot of sushi for little money.
I wish that You See Sushi would deliver, and overall this is one of my favorite restaurants for sushi in SF. -

This was my 3rd time going here. It's about 3 blocks from my apartment--and I eat out a couple times a week, if that tells you anything.
I really like sushi. Sashimi, udon, tempera, hand rolls, simple rolls, fried rolls..you get the idea.
The food here is pretty simple. It's not that good. It's not bad. They give you free tea, and the ambiance is fine. It can feel a little bit tight sometimes, like the tables are pushed really close together.
I ordered a lunch special #2. It came with 6 pieces of spicy tuna and sashimi, miso soup, and rice. I enjoyed it.
I guess my problem is that it's not CHEAP enough for me to go just because it's cheap, and it's not GOOD enough to really warrant going that often. If I want good sushi with a nice ambiance, I'll go elsewhere. But overall, I can't really complain. -

Good, Fast and Cheap. Normally you only get two of the three, but on our recent visit we had them all. Not that we were rushed but had great, cheap sushi. The special was unagi, avacado roll (6 pieces), shrimp tempura roll (6 pieces), 4 pieces of Nigirl.
Happy they took care and made sure mine was Gluten-Free. -
Review from Sofia R.
I stopped by You See Sushi for my friend's birthday dinner. It's a pretty small place so I thought it was strange that she decided to have her dinner there but after seeing the prices on the menu, I understood.
The scary thing about super cheap prices is worrying about quality. To see cheap prices on sushi is quite enticing regardless. I was still really full from lunch so I only ordered a small order of unagi (eel) sashimi in 3 pieces and a side order of miso soup. Everyone else ordered TONS of sushi.
Service was nice but it took them FOREVER to bring our order out. Initially, I figured it was because we had a big group and we ordered a lot but they forgot someone's 2nd order later on.
My eel was pretty good. The miso soup however, is really strange. It had carrots and cabbage which is something I'm not used to at all. Not bad, just different. I didn't actually like the taste though. I'm not sure what everyone else's thoughts were, but I didn't like it. Cheap though!
My friend let me sample some of their orders: tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, uni sashimi, lady in red roll, philly roll, rock n' roll, and some other stuff that I forgot the name of.
The sashimi is good. No different from other places. The rolls were really good though and I'm impressed because they're cheap. My personal favorite is the lady in red.
Good place. -

I have been a customer for over 10 years. They closed earlier this year to make changes and they are great changes. The food is still awesome, the staff is still great. It was not only nice to see the growth but to see all the crowds willing to wait for a table because the price is right, the food is great, the service priceless!

Great for a college student on a budget. Came in with my friend who's been there before. They had "meals" for their dinner specials. I got the Special Dinner meal #2. It consisted of: Spicy Tuna & Avocado Roll (6 pieces), Cucumber Roll (6 pieces), Nigiri (one piece each): Tuna, Eel, Albacore, Salmon, Yellowtail & Inari, miso soup for $9.95. I added a Tako-Maki (Octopus) (6 pieces) for around $2.15? I am not exact on the prices but overall it was cheap. The rolls are a bit small hence the cheap prices, but I was pretty satisfied with my meal.
Their miso soup was different instead of tofu and seaweed it had cabbage and carrots. Also, instead of the traditional edamame when you are seated we got a mugful of carrot sticks.
Overall, I was satisfied with the food for what I paid. Not a bad way to get a sushi fix if you are on a budget. If I am in the neighborhood I will be roaming around again. There's a lot more I would like to check out on their menu.
Note: It is a bit small and cramp inside, but for a cheap sushi place what more can you ask for? Our waitress was also VERY friendly and hospitable. -

Yeah! I found an inexpensive sushi place in San Francisco! Its big, the waitstaff is friendly and helpful and the sushi was delicious. And I left full from one order from the server's recommendation. Granted I don't eat alot, but I actually had a doggie bag. My girlfriends were all full too. We will definitely be going back. Thanks!

Service sucks a little bit. They have new waitresses there now.
But I love their Teriyaki Chicken Bowl.
Don't drink the water. I think they keep their ice cubs n the freezer with the seafood so the ice ends up smelling kinda fishy.. -
Review from Alicia W.
This place is decent, you can't expect high quality sushi when they are charging such cheap price. But honestly, I don't feel like the price is that cheap... it just isn't expensive.
I had the tempura udon, which was pretty good. The soup was well flavored and the tempura was okay. I was a bit disappointed with the variety of tempura, they only gave me two shrimp, two cucumber or zucchini (not sure what it was cause i hate both and gave it to my grandma), and 3 carrots.
Now for sushi that I stole from my sister and grandma. I tried the spicy tuna roll and the shrimp tempura roll. They were good, but nothing special. The spicy tuna was not spicy enough. -

My friend and I wanted cheap sushi and we wanted more rolls than sashimi or nigiri; thus, we decided to make a stop here on a Monday evening.
It's my first time here and I was pretty amazed by their low prices. Although the choices of rolls weren't as abundant as many other sushi places, their prices made up for it. I can't believe most of their prices for nigiri, maki, or special rolls are all between $2-$10! Where can you find prices like that?! But then again, nothing is really special about this place other than the $. I would come here when I am feeling cheap, BUT please don't come here if you want quality fish!
Their fish weren't to die for. They lacked color, but at least I'm still doing fine after 4 hrs of consumption. =)
One thing I did not like about You See Sushi was how we sort of got ripped off when we ordered our sake! On the menu, the price for a cold sake was clearly labeled as $4.75. We ordered that and the lady showed us a bottle and asked if that was okay. Not being sake experts, we took whatever and when the bill came....the total was $12!!!! We felt so ripped off since we didn't finish that bottle and she could've told us beforehand that the price was different! =\ MEH!
Finding parking in this area isn't as bad since it's not as busy as 9th avenue. -

2.5 stars. Yes, I've experienced better, but that doesn't mean I won't eat it. Everything's relative, right?
I feel like the quality of sushi at any given japanese restaurant can fluctuate a lot, so it's hard to put a meaningful rating on this place for its fish. The yellowtail I've had here was decent enough. Somewhat mealy, but not unfresh. So I guess I can go off the chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce I'm assuming is some bottled stuff, but it's pretty good. For some reason, whenever I've gotten the chicken, it comes out all hacked to pieces and I don't mean nicely sliced chicken breast, but tiny bits of chicken that looks like they were scraping it off the grill. The california rolls are ok.
Price for a lunch special, which comes with miso soup and salad, is $5.95 with several options. They serve green tea, which is nice and soothing on a cold day. Service is quick, seating is not too bad.
It's a cheap, no frills sushi place. -

I used to come here all the time when I lived down the street from here, as long as you avoid the lunch time rush, the service is quick and the quality is good. Downside is this place is super small and when I do come here during lunch the wait is ridiculous...but what can do you do about it.

Great place for what it is. Inexpensive and good. But don't dine in for dinner - they take forever.
I love their miso soup, which has cabbage and carrots, and the rice they have on the side of certain meals, which comes with eel sauce. -

You See Sushi?
Psh, More like You See hella tiny rolls of rice wrapped in seaweed with a microscopic piece of filling inside. The only reason why I'm not only giving one star is because it's pretty dirt cheap and it made the kid that I babysit happy to have sushi.
Also, the moment we sat down the waitress comes up and goes "Are you ready to order? Cuz we're closing"
RUDE.
and when we ordered she goes: "ok thanks, this will be the last order ok?"
ALso, did i mention that
IT WAS 2:00 pm!
CHeap ass place with even cheaper ass sushi. Will only come back if i'm desperate and only have 2 dollars in my hand.Listed in: Let Me See Your Sushi Roll

Why do so many people come here? Because it's next to UCSF. Undeniably, I come here from time to time because of its close proximity to school. But in fact, the food here is subpar and a bit on the salty side. The sushi, when made, is on the messy side--and not very presentable. The fish isn't that fresh either. I'm surprised I haven't gotten sick yet! OK--that's not much of a worry since most of the sashimi/sushi fish you get here in the US is fairly safe (from tape worms and such!)
But really... would I come here to bring someone on a date? Probably not. It's close, and yes--it is cheap, but you get what you pay for. The service is so-so and is VERY slow. But hey, what can you do? The only wait staff is the owner herself, so you have to give her a break. But, during busy hours, it might be nice to have an extra waitstaff to help bring out dishes and take orders.
I usually come here for lunch, so the beset deals are the bentos/combos. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary--chicken teriyaki, cali rolls...that sort of thing. It's definitely the place to go for students--so, yes--you'll see lots of young students and their backpacks all around. -

[W] You See, this place is a pretty good spot for bargain sushi that's very tasty as well. You See is conveniently located close to a UC haha... lame joke... anyways we know I'm never going to aspire to be a comedian. Anyways, we always drive past here but never actually tried it until today and we were pleasantly surprised on how good the sushi tasted for its price.
[M] Let's just say we had A LOT of choices to eat for $50 worth whereas if you were at the other sushi spot down a few blocks, you can only get around 4-5 rolls. Bleh~
We ordered the Tamago Nigiri, California Roll (real crab) Nigiri, Tobiko Nigiri, Uni Nigiri, Rainbow Roll, Futo Maki, 49er Roll, Hawaiian Roll, Philly Roll and Grilled Salmon Teriyaki Roll.
[W] We originally got one order of Tamago, 49er roll, Philly Roll, Rainbow Roll, Tobiko, and the Hawaiian Roll. [http://www.yelp.com/bi...
] I really enjoyed the Hawaiian roll which had avocado, and scallop topped with Salmon and a thinly sliced lemon. This was a really refreshing sushi roll and delicious as well. All the flavors blended in very nicely. The Tobiko (fish eggs) was really good as well. It tasted fresh and not packaged. I could taste the sweetness of the eggs so that was good.
[M] The Philly roll was my favorite. The cream cheese wasn't overwhelming and it gave a nice separate flavor along with the avocado and salmon. The Rainbow Roll was ok. There wasn't anything extraordinary about it. IT was basically a california roll with salmon, white tuna, and avocado on top. The Uni Nigiri was not the freshest, but for the price of $2.90 you can't it better anywhere else.
[W] Last on our FIRST PLATE (haha yes we had TWO) was the Tamago. That one was a wow. We've tried Tamago at many places and not everyone can make it right. Rather it's just bland or they make it a little thicker to hide their piece that has no flavor BUT this place made it just right. It was sweet and yummy. It was actually so good that I had to order another one haha.
After the first plate, we were still hungry so we went for round two. Normally I would just say F-it and leave it as that but this place had such good value that we couldn't pass up trying the other stuff. So on our second plate, we ordered another round of Tamago, Philly Roll again for Mona since she loves that cream cheese, the California Nigiri Roll because the couple next to us ordered it and it looked kind of good, Futomaki, and the Grilled Salmon Teriyaki Roll. [http://www.yelp.com/bi... Everything was delicious once again other than that California Nigiri Roll. The California Nigiri is one of those things that are better left to be looked at rather than eaten.
[M] They could've used a tad more mayonnaise to give it some more tang in it because it tasted quite dry and flavorless in my opinion.
[W] Other than the food, once again the service is quite slow. I needed more tea (which just basically tasted like hot water) but I could NOT get any of the servers to get some so I had a plan, put my dirty plates on the table next to me and when they come to clean it up, I'll ask them for more tea... and it worked haha.
Overall the food was pretty good but the service was sub-par. The dining room is pretty small so I don't see why they can't attend to all their clients. Our bill at the end came up to be 50 dollars and change. But like I said earlier, it was a GREAT value. A lot of items on the menu were around 3-4 dollars from what I can recall. Most places only give you a couple of rolls for that price including tax and we had a lot of food to try out. I would definitely come back again because of that reason. Parking can be problem here also because it can get pretty busy sometimes but today we got lucky.
[M] P.S. Thank you Jasmine for the super great recommendation for this place! : ) -

Umm where's my green tea???!
My friend and I literally sat in the small restaurant and was left unattended for at least 10 minutes before anyone came to ask us if we would like tea. I'm not a tea Nazi but sheeesh! A little attention please!
We ordered a variety of rolls and some nigiri (see pic). Everything was mediocre if not yucky. Definitely dissatisfied. The price was fairly cheap but never again. One word to sum it all up: bleh! -

Went here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Got a sushi lunch special and two rolls. There is a list of lunch specials that are all $6. The rolls are an average of $4-5 for 6 pieces.
-The lunch special I got was a 6 piece spicy tuna roll with 4 pieces of nigiri. Although the sushi was mushy and not the greatest, it was a decent meal with miso and rice for $6. Not bad.
-The miso soup doesn't have tofu and seaweed like regular. Instead it has cabbage and carrots. But it was a nice tasty surprise.
-I got a avocado eel roll. And a tempura cucumber roll. I forget the names but that's basically what was in it. The eel roll was good but it was a lot of avocado and very little eel. The tempura roll was pretty bland. But the rolls were only $4 each. You get what you pay for.
-Whole bill came to $16 and it was a pretty good amount of decent food.
-Service was pretty good. Although the restaurant was a little jammed, close quarters.
-Parking around the restaurant is a 2 hour time limit. But You See Sushi is more of a eat and go place. Hence being near UCSF.
Just for the price, I'd go again. Its extremely good value but the quality is lacking. I'd recommend You See Sushi for the bargain. It's a great lunch spot for those on a budget. -
Review from Janice C.
You see, the sushi rolls here are cheap. Like, priced at $8 or less cheap.
You see, the sashimi here is affordable. Like, you can pay $10 and get twice the amount you regularly get at other sushi joints in SF.
You see, the green tea here is free. Like, we even got refills without asking our server.
You see, the food here just didn't do it for me. Okay, maybe the chicken teriyaki bento box but even then it would be something not worth driving here for.
You see, I wish you well but you won't see me coming back here again. -

This place is the shiznit!
Their sushi isn't the best around.
Their atmosphere is nothing fancy.
But when you want quick, affordable, tasty, sushi without lines - come to You See Sushi.
Richard and I stopped in here after a long day. I'd heard mixed things about You See Sushi, so I was apprehensive. My concerns were put to rest once I glanced at the prices. Some of the best in the city.
We ordered 6 rolls. Many of them elaborate. The standout was by far the spider roll. No fishy taste - just warm crispy crab, intermingled with fresh vegetables.
And the total price? - $27.00. Um. Can you think of anywhere else in the city where you can get 6 fresh rolls for that price?
I think not.Listed in: Japanese Food, Sushi in San Francisco

On a reserved Halloween, I am dressed up as a sushi addict. With a chef robe, wasabi as my neck, soy sauce (low sodium, of course) dripping from my corner lip, and chopsticks in my left pocket (usually contains a calculator), I trek down memory lane and write about a hidden gem.
As a sushi addict and founder of SA (sushi anonymous), I craved sushi yet my recent financial advisor would think otherwise. Not wanting to settle for SPAM on a Friday night, my choice would be a neighborhood joint.
Despite the financial climate, it is still possible to enjoy great sushi at a budget. Located on a sliding slope in the inner Sunset, the husband-wife team of Paul and Ikuko have been serving vibrant dishes at neighborhood prices.
Opened since 1991, the restaurant name reflects their main target audience: students and staff from University of California-San Francisco.
Light wooden table, miniature spotlight, and a scenic nature painting all add to a cozy ambiance. All the times I have dined there, service is attentive in the thirty seat restaurant.
Once seated, a cup of carrot sticks are served. Dressed in a casual attire, the wait staff promptly takes the order. With my assortment of nigiri and rolls, the food arrives resembles a colorful canvas. Like a symphony, each sushi carries a special note and tone.
Nibbling on a few slices of ginger to refresh my plate, one bite into the buttery hamachi (yellowtail -$2.15) started the meal. The blushing red maguro (tuna-$2.15) has a great sea-sweet taste. For a taste of one of the oiliest fish, the saba (mackerel -$2.00) does the trick. Changing to a sweet note, the unagi (eel-$2.15) brushed with tangy sweet teriyaki glaze is worth another order.
The uni (sea urchin-$2.90) is my comfort food order. With a creamy nutty note, uni displays a fresh fishy acquired taste. With translucent meat, the ameibi (raw shrimp-$2.90) demonstates the goodness of raw seafood.
A mound of small eggs wrapped in nori creates the tobi (flying fish roe-$2.15). Known as the "dessert sushi", the tamago (egg omellete-$1.80) rounded out a great meal.

Not only is sushi delicious, but also has many health benefits. Generally, sushi is low in calories. Rich fish such as tuna, mackerel, and eel have less than 200 calories per 3.5 oz.
Mackerel and herring are oily fish known to be high in mega-3 fatty acids, which have been known in decreasing the chances of heart disease, stroke, and arthritis.
As an excellent source of protein and carbohydrates, rice is not only gluten-free but also suitable for diner with wheat allergies. Known to help prevent cholesterol deposits from building up in blood vessels, nori (seaweed) contains rich vitamins such as A, B1, B2, B6, niacin and C.
Aiding digestion and rich in vitamin C, wasabi also has antibacterial properties. Helping the body to fight colds and flu, ginger boost the immune system. Rice vinegar has been used to preserve food but also lowers the risk of high blood pressure.

Served with fresh crispy seaweed, the make (sushi rolls) are great as well. Those who enjoy a taste of fusion Japanese food, the 49er, dragon, and tempura rolls are great picks.
Pairing well with the fresh raw fish, the hot sake (regular-$2.75) warmed my palate.
While there are a mile long list of Japanese restaurants in the city, patrons have returned mainly on the price along with quality. -

I had a dinner combo that consisted of 5 pieces of fish and a spicy tuna and a cucumber roll all for 9.95! You can't beat that. The fish was really fresh too.
Free green tea!
Service was great and accommodated my party of 12.
Service was fairly quick as well.

I worked at UCSF for a couple years and the #C lunch special was one of my favorite dishes. Sushi was always on the OK end, but really like the bento box with the teri chicken (whole breast), 6 piece sushi, salad and rice. all and all a nice lunch for $5. oh... with miso and tea. If i find myself in the area i will usually stop if i don't go to park chow. and they always remember me and kinda joke but say... will you be having the #C?
I always say yes. You should too... -

The sushi here is okay, but for the price, it is GREAT.
I was visiting a former coworker at Parnassus and she suggested we go since I'm so budget constrained (I blame UCSF and a few other med schools for the fortune they made me spend in the rejection process). I was not disappointed. For $5.95, I got a spicy tuna roll with avocado plus 4 pieces of nigiri, miso soup, and a bowl of rice. Even with my huge appetite I was full, had a lovely time, and got out of there with an unharmed bank account.
I won't be frequenting these parts again anytime soon but it's nice to know that a good deal exists in the city. -

I used to come here a lot when my best friend used to live a few blocks away. Nowadays, I never find myself in the inner sunset, and to tell you the truth, I don't miss it. The Inner Sunset that is, not You See.
But, I will say that You See Sushi is pretty good for the price. I saw some of the bad reviews saying that people got sick, they were served rotten sushi, ect. So, a bit fearful myself, I looked on http://cleanscores.com to see their rating, and they've had great ratings since 2005, so I have a feeling those were isolated experiences and I felt bad, so I decided to advertise they've scored in the 90's for the past 3 years.
I know, don't thank me. It's 1:30am and I'm just procrastinating writing my Environmental Literature paper, so really you should pity me.Listed in: "EH"

This place the best place to get cheap priced sushi!
They have very affordable sushi dinner specials. A little over $10 for a nigiri and sushi combo that can fill you up. You also order the lunch special during dinner for around $7 if you're not that hungry.
Most 2 piece nigiri is a little over $2. Uni is only around $3 and it taste pretty good!
I love this place for the price! and the quality is very decent!
But I have to admit, this isn't my #1 favorite cheap sushi place... but it might be my #2 or #3 fav.Listed in: I LOVE my Japanese Foods

Well, it's cheap, and...did I mention it's cheap?
$5.95 lunch special includes a cut roll, 2 nigiri and miso--not bad. We just opted for 4 cut rolls a la carte totaling something like $18. Needless to say, the hot, gray, split-level dining room was not designed for a fancy sushi night out--it's designed for hungry lunch folks who don't have time (or money) to fuss much. And if that's you, then You See (UC, get it? There are lots of people dressed in scrubs here) will work fine for you. But if you're looking for quality, there's plenty of better options all over the Sunset.Listed in: Inner Sunset \ UCSF

You See Sushi.... just a couple blocks below You See Ess Eff.
(tee hee!!)
I truly LOVE a play on words!!! I think it's hilariously dorky and cheesy! Two thumbs up for cheekiness!!
I judge sushi places in two categories, are they trying to be:
Authentic? or Popular Tasty?
This place is Popular Tasty...I don't expect anything outside the norm of Cali Rolls, Teriyaki plates and funny named rolls.
That being said there are two knocks for this place:
1) The Chicken Teriyaki was the fattiest ChickTer I have ever had at a sushi place. Not good.
2) They served cabbage and carrot miso soup...it tasted more like Chicken Broth Veggie Soup. Meh.
I think I'll go just for cheapot depot funny named rolls from now on. Sometimes you just don't need it to be hella fancy and elite sushi.Listed in: You can stalk me at these…

I've been going to You See Sushi for years, pretty much when they first opened under McSushi and then became We Be Sushi (the original).
I like them because of their simplicity. They are a small mom and pop type place that keeps the menu basic and the prices very reasonable. I love that I can get pieces of various sashimi in increments of threes...amaebi especially! They offer simple bento boxes without all the craziness, which can be quite comforting when you want basic Japanese food or sushi.
Sure, they start you off with healthy carrot sticks and their miso soup has cabbage instead of seaweed and tofu. But there's a reason they have been open so long, regulars like us appreciate the slight differences. I love their huge mugs of tea and I like that their menu rarely changes, nor do the prices. It's a comforting place.
Whenever I go, I usually stick to the sashimi and some nigiri - hamachi, sake, saba, amaebi, ikura, uni, albacore, etc. Sometimes I'll throw in a roll to mix it up a bit, but I love my raw fish. Other friends stick by their Dinner Special which to them means a lot of bang for their buck.
It's one of my comfort places...and it's nice when the owners see you and recognize you. One time I was shocked when the waitress commented on my haircut! It had been awhile since I'd been there, but she remembered me. Wow.Listed in: Sushi Fixings and Japanese…, My Hood

You can't get any better than this for the price.
This place doesn't have great decor, but the staff are super-friendly. When we were in there, the boyfriend ordered an Asahi and apparently the waitress thought he said "a sake." When she brought the sake he corrected her and they both had a good laugh over it.
The quality of their fish isn't AMAZING, but it's fresh and it's decent and I've DEFINITELY paid much more for much worse. Even their drinks are cheap--$1 for a soda, which is, sadly, pretty remarkable for a restaurant.
In summation: They're ridiculously cheap and very yummy. Too bad I won't often have an excuse to be in that part of town to visit again! -

get the sushi special. I saw a sign that said the following:
Sushi special: ($9.95)
4 pieces of nigiri sushi: tuna, salmon, white tuna, red snapper
6 pieces of eel & avocado roll
6 pieces of fried shrimp roll
comes with miso soup
so I thought it was pick one of the three for ~$10, which is pretty much how much a roll usually costs. But no i was wrong! it was ALL - 16 piece of sushi all for under $10. Can't really find another sushi joint in the city that can compete with the price and quality of this place (yes, cheap AND yummy sushi here!)
Conveniently located near UCSF, this place is quite budget-friendly for the students. It's a hole-in-the wall with a minimalist approach to its decor...maybe that's why this place doesn't have to charge a premium to cover fancy schmancy overhead as a lot of sushi restaurants do. I can totally see why this place is popular! -

I never thought there would be a tasty, yet cheap, sushi place. If you want to go eat good sushi, and not hear your wallet crying after the bill, this is the place!
The meal combinations are good, and pretty filling. The sushi is fresh and very tasty.
Though most of the waitresses there are very pleasant, there was one who was rather rude. Aside from that, it is a great place to eat at! -

Good sushi for a great price? Hey, I'm there!
I just went here and the sushi was good. Nothing really special.
I tried most of the nigiri sushi and I noticed the kick of wasabi that was hidden beneath the seafood! That sneaky bastard...Well at least it cleared my sinuses. LOL!
The special rolls were quite tasty. Loved the 49er roll and the Dragon roll! Good stuff!
That sucked that they didn't have Uni! =(
Very affordable and very nice people, but the parking sucks big time!!
