Review from Sara K. P.
Toronto, ON
3.75 I was lured into Yoshi's by the fuschia pink sign and the word "sweets" but surprisingly ended up with some incredible gluten free bread.
The shop keeper suggested I try the house brand of Queen Street Gluten-Free Breads in particular the Romano Bean bread, and really for a gluten free bread, this stuff is off the chain! It's not exactly italian-like bread consistancy, and still it tastes best when toasted but it wasn't the cardboard/concrete-like texture bs some other GF breads are either with an incredibly, nice moist consistency.
Of course how could I leave without some delicate coconut nested macarooons (think Scottish, not French) centered with a cracked candy coated chocolate egg. These were delightful not too sweet which is a nice change from the usual saccharine sweet Cadbury-esque confections served around easter time. Nice confections and sweets at Yoshi's but it's the gluten free bread here that is the money shot for sure!Listed in: La Dolce Vita

Review from Carmen M.
Yoshi's Sweets is a local bakery made with fresh, natural ingredients.
There's a little cafe where you can have a delicious piece of pear spice cake, date bar or two -year aged cheddar biscuits with a cup of organic fair trade coffee. I picked up a pistachio macaron with white chocolate and cranberry filling. Um, yes please!
Walking into Yoshi's feels like you've walked into someone's cozy home, not just another coffee shop. In fact, when I walked in, an elderly couple was actually on the phone with the owner telling her what they'd come in to get!
Many of their items are gluten-free, as well.
