Anyone who listens to the radio has probably heard of Yonge Eglinton Laser Centre. As someone with a very long commute, I listen to a lot of radio and I've heard various personalities recommend it. I'd always thought getting my eyes corrected would be wonderful, but thought of it as a far off dream due to the cost. But I had recently developed a slight allergy to contact lenses (lucky me), so that wearing them became very difficult. It was still possible, but they became irritated more often, and if I ever fell asleep in them (I know, you're not supposed to, but I'm lazy) that pair had to be tossed. It was getting expensive. I started to think that maybe it was worth the money.
The idea was floating around my mind, and I knew that I probably wanted to go to YELC, but that decision was sealed when I found a group coupon! It saved me only 12% off the procedure, but every little bit helps! I made an appointment for a consultation, and figured if I didn't like it I could always use the coupon for something more cosmetic. The consultation was fabulous. It was an hour and a half and I saw three different specialists in that time. It was an optometrist, a laser specialist (?), and the counselor. They answered all the questions I wouldn't have thought to ask, and all the ones that I did. When I heard that in all their years, they've never had a single case of infection, I decided to book my appointment.
The appointment day came and I was nervous. The staff were all very kind and helped me to relax. I was provided with two stress balls to squeeze - they were decorated as eyeballs! I don't think I realized how stressed I was until I realized that I was nearly popping the poor stress balls. They told me what to expect as things were happening, and the procedure itself only lasted about half an hour! It never hurt, it just felt weird or uncomfortable.
The worst part is really the day after. You can't read, watch tv, or use a computer because it could strain your eyes. But you have to put drops in every hour, so you can't really leave home either! It was a very boring day. I ended up sleeping a lot just to pass the time.
All in all, YELC is a fantastic facility. It's not cheap by any means, but when it comes to my eyes I wasn't willing to take a chance. I made the investment and I'm so glad that I did.Listed in: Danger, Group Coupons!

Great experience with Laser Hair Removal at YELC. Jessica is my tech and she's great, friendly and very thorough. The place is clean and professional, not like so many of those cheesy spa/tanning salons that offer laser treatments. I'm so glad they offered a groupon and that I purchased one from here instead of some of those other shady places. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
