I like frozen yogurt! I like this place!

Lots of flavors to choose from and conveniently located on Broadway across the street from Seattle Central Community College. This place can be packed, especially when the sun is out. But that's ok because you can take your frozen yogurt and enjoy it at the park in the back while watching a game of bike polo or dodgeball.

This place is great to take little ones as well. It's all smiles once you're inside; I don't think I've seen one frown inside this place. :)

I always make fun of the crackheads on Capitol Hill, but I think this place has turned me into a "yogurt head". I love this place! I can't go a few days without stopping in for a sweet treat.

You only pay for the amount of yogurt that you put in your cup and they are always adding new flavors.  Favorites so far include: taro root, blubbery lychee, and pistachio!

Go here and then join a "yogurt lovers anonymous" group because there is no way you can escape this addiction!

staff had some issues... but only during one of my visits... things happen, you know? But then again... who cares? It's self serve!

I love that they have cute seatings and cute interior... not to mention lots of flavors to choose from. Would recommend ^^

Yogurtland is that perfect balance between sweet and creamy goodness that you find with ice cream, met with a tarty healthy bite of less-guilt.

My favorite combination is pairing a little taro flavor with plain tart, and topping that off with a few mochi and some fruity pebbles.

I must say though, to the past, present, and future yogurtland attendees, you do not have to fill up the entire tub full of frozen yogurt goodness.

I normally walk away with a tab less than $3 and a stomach that doesn't ache.

Wait.. you don't buy $20 worth of yogurt when you go here?

This is my favorite frozen yogurt place. Not only do they have more than 10 flavors, it is self-serve! This is probably also why I spend $20 for 2 here. They have flavors like taro, cheesecake, chocolate mint, apple pie, and nondairy options such as guava pineapple.

They have toppings that range from fresh fruits, to mochi, to candies and breakfast cereals.

For a satisfying and relatively healthy dessert option, I recommend Yogurtland. Also, they are open until 11PM!

I love this place! So does my girlfriend.

It's close to home so we frequent this location often. We have tried the U-District and Wallingford locations but it's just not the same, the taste and interior.

We get the sample cups and try the new flavors but we always end up with pistachio and taro for a little over $3.

Overall, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!"

Holy cow's milk, we got a yogurt land in Washington! Yogurt by the ounce in a gnarly hello kitty cup. For a good price. I love it!

Nothing is better than filling in the cracks of your stomach after a hearty dinner with some refreshing yogurt.

There are a bunch of flavors to choose from, and toppings to finish off your dessert!

This yogurt land is designed like every other yogurt land. As much as I hate homogeneous looking places, Ill let this one slide because I love frozen yogurt so much!

So far my favorite flavors have been taro and coconut. Yum! Enjoy!

I liked the mango and coconut. Wish I had tried vanilla bean, maybe next time. Peanut butter and red velvet were good but couldn't handle more than a taste of it. I don't like to douse my yogurt with toppings, so this really isn't my thing. Glad my friend convinced me to try it, though.

Love the concept of Yogurtland....self-serve yogurt!  Lots of different flavors and toppings...my favorite is the cheesecake flavor!

But after coming to this place, I now know why there aren't more self-serve yogurt places...it's a mess!  People spilling toppings into other topping containers, spilled yogurt on the floor...it sometimes ends up pretty messy there.

Meh. I am slightly impartial- I hail from a  California town where tasty local fro-yo has been around for ages, and always with tons of toppings and flavors.

My problem with yogurtland is that they rely on too much sugar to carry the flavor- super sweet is not a flavor in my book.

I thought it was alright, but not mind-blowing like a lot of other reviews. I will say I like that it's by weight- so you can get how much you want.

Yogurtland is very tasty and cheap. $3.40 got me a nice bowl of chcolate/hazelnut with lots of fun toppings-- good for a sore throat!

You should way, WAY underfill the giant bowl. Seriously, if you are still questioning if you got enough, it's probably the right amount.

I subtracted one star for not having as many fruit options as Menchie's or having a frequent buyer's card (I am still a Menchie's fangirl, I guess).

    Staff are very friendly!

YUMMY...my first step in the store front, and I knew I was in heaven.  This place is the most amazing dessert place in Seattle!!  There are many different yogurt flavors (at least 10), and they've got your basic flavors and more adventurous flavors.  Then there's all those amazing toppings...I recommend cheesecake squares and popping boba (which is so hard to find in Seattle!).  I love how it's self serve, because you get to choose exactly what you want and how much of it you want.  And it's very cool that they charge by weight.  The price is always super, seriously too reasonable!  A decent serving size costs under $5, but for me I spent less than $2.50.  I'm definitely coming back here soon!!

This place is basically as good as fro-yo can get. Tons of different flavor options, more toppings than you can imagine, and friendly staff! My only complaint is how you have to ask for sample cups and they only give you two (Menchie's is so much better where they have them just sitting out).

My favorite yogurt flavors are definitely coconut, good old classic plain tart, and I really like the new flavor they have out right now the blackberry lemon mint tart. Super delicious. They had all of the new flavors set out the day I went so I was excited about that.

Yogurtland's proximity to my house is going to be dangerous...

price/portion ratio:  The best price for portion ratio around!  For those of you who are familiar, on par with the portions and prices that Pochi used to offer back when they carried froyo.  Another awesome aspect of Yogurtland is that they don't charge you for the number of toppings you have; it's strictly by weight.  5 stars on my Budget Bites scale.

location/parking:  Although this review is for the Broadway location, all of the sections, from price to environment, really apply to all of their locations.  They're easy to find, being off main streets and parking is street parking only.

selection/presentation:  Their selection is vast! and the presentation is what you make of it.

flavor/quality:  Flavor is good.  They label the ones that are more tart than others and what they have labeled is what you'd expect it to taste like.  Including the Red Velvet Cake; having an ever so slight cake batter flavor in my opinion.  The quality is top notch and consistent.  Down to the fruit never being all yucky and old.

environment/ambiance:  The environment is nice.  It's got a very modern and health conscious look to it, from the choice of colors and logos down to the lighting being brighter than most restaurants and or retailers.  The seating can get a little crowded depending on the day and really location- University Village location seems to consistently be more busy.  No surprise considering all the students there.. Asian students and their froyo.. lol  The tables might be a bit sticky if it's super busy though so careful of that.

Overall, Id say the best frozen yogurt shop around.  I'd literally drive 10 minutes away from a Red Mango that I'm standing next to just to go to a Yogurtland.

    My Budget Bites scale:

    5 stars $6 or less
    4 stars $8 or less
    3 stars $10 or less
    2 stars $12 or less
    1 star  $12 or more

I love this place! My pet peeve with fro yo is when the consistency is too icy. Yogurtland is nice and smooth. The flavors are usually fun and delish. My favorite, oatmeal raisin, is sadly not a regular. I love red velvet and they usually have that one. As for toppings, they have fruit, chocolate, and lots of fun sweets. Cheesecake squares = amazing. People complain about the price, but i have found that if I actually only take as much as I am able to eat, it's always less than $5. Warning, depending on when you go, it can get pretty crowded!

It was my first time trying out frozen yogurt, and it didn't disappoint me at all!! We went there at around 4-5pm so there wasn't a line-up. In fact, there's no one at the self-serve area at all!

First the interior had really stylish, modern decors. A bright and happy atmosphere. They had glass pictures of yogurts around the store, put to the wall with shiny silver nails.
It was a self-serve service, i tried taro, cheesecake(my fav), and oreo flavors. There were a lot to choose from in terms of flavors and toppings as well. Time passes by really quick when you're sitting inside eating the cup of fresh yogurts.

I remembered the couple beside us ordered two big cups of packed yogurt with toppings that were about to spill out!

A really great experience indeed. I would recommend to anyone who hasn't tried this. A good alternative to ice-cream for sure.

Oh how I love yogurt... and a land dedicated to the frozen confection is even better. Like a theme park filled with yogurt...

Oh how I love yogurt... though blame the Doctor Who/BBC television watching side of me to pronounce it as the Brits do (YOH-gart).

    But I digress... I was gonna write a review wasn't I?

Though I am not a fan of the self serve froyo spots (see my review of Revelations). I am a fan of this establishment, you can thank the red velvet yogurt for that.

Great flavors, great toppings, good staff, and an overall fun experience. Hot day on the Hill? Hit the Yogurtland.

    cheers!

The second coming of frozen yogurt has arrived in Seattle. The old guard of Shnoo, Red Mango, Crazycherry, Ce Fiore, etc. is being usurped by the self-service variety.

The upbeat, cute, and busy Yogurtland is as good a beginning as any of that story.

Out of the 12 or so rotating flavor choices, I usually end up with some combination of pistachio, mango, and tart and then top with the no sugar added dark chocolate bits as I'm still a bit wary of the fruit quality here. The froyo is not overly sweet by American standards and the consistency is appropriately smooth but otherwise unremarkable.

That said, the competition is pretty similar in concept and even in execution so there are only two things that really distinguish Yogurtland. First, it's cheaper then the rest at $0.35/oz and I enjoy being able to get out of here around or under $3 on my visits. Location, location, location is the other main advantage - I'm not sure how they will fare in fall or winter (the majority of the Pacific Northwest year), but within a multi-block radius, the Hello Kitty-branded cups and spoons are a common sight.

While I still admit to fantasizing about (and sometimes indulging in) Bluebird when it comes to frozen desserts on the Hill, Yogurtland is certainly more convenient to the core, healthier, safer for those who can portion control, and open later on weekdays.

I have honeslty been here like a million times and everytime is better than the last .

I went back to Yogurtland last night with craving some cold sweetness that wouldn't have that whale like effect, if you know what I mean! Just what I needed.

My favoritie combo: 2/4 Taro, 1/4 Cheesecake, 1/4 Redvelvet. I like a few sprinkles, yogurt chips and sometimes cheesecake bites. Now that's what I call a fix-me-up.

Yogurtland is my favorite softserve joint because they price fair, by weight, and have the best flavors!

Firstly, I'd like to state that Yogurtland was not the first to implement "pay by the ounce" deal. Sorry, I've seen it at multiple places at least 4-5 years ago more south of Seattle.

Wait, hold on now I'm not bashing on Yogurtland okay!

The real deal is this place has become my favorite frozen yogurt spot. Just walking in being super excited for some yogurt I felt like a kid going to the local fair. Bright lights, vibrant colors; it almost felt magical minus the carnival rides and such.

Ideally, I stick to my simple apparently "Asian" pickings which is some plain frozen yogurt topped with fresh strawberries and mochi. Come on, how can you go wrong with that combo? Seeing the different flavors at Yogurtland persuaded me into going out of the norm. I was curious about the pumpkin pie one but instantly changed my mind once I saw the pistachio flavor. I absolutely, positively LOVE pistachio ice cream/gelato/frozen yogurt. Then came a toss up between the pineapple guava or mango.. Umm.. Mango it is because I felt the other would be too tart for my craving. I stuck with strawberries and mochi though.

Delicious. I don't think I could say much more. Good selection of flavors and toppings. Decent pricing, and I loved the layout. Plus I got a Chococat spoon, sweet~

5 Stars to this spot. Why,because their yogurt taste great and you get to have it your way. That's why.

I've been through most of the flavors there. some of my favorites are Red Velvet Cupcake Batter,Coconut,Pistachio,Mango,Vanilla,Double Cookies & Cream. The list goes on.

I've only seen 2 sizes of bowls. If there's a Small I've never seen it. Besides who wants a Small anyways.

The line can get CRAZY long. As Rebecca S. says, people like to stare in wonder at all of the options there are Yogurt wise. Then they just stand there. Should I get this one?,That one? Hmmm.... Get 'em both and move on!

When I get to where the goods are after waiting in line, I load up on whatever I find tasty at the moment. Move on to the toppings and load up on Coconut, M&M's, Nuts, etc.

Then you go Weigh Out. The price goes by weight here. Fully loaded cost me between $4.00 - 4.50  not bad for a big cup full of Snackaliciousness.

So,get on up to Broadway and get you some.

This place is Thrill Killer Approved. Check It OOOUUUTTT!!!

First, let me say that I think Red Mango and its brethren "yogurt" chains taste like liquefied plastic. Yogurtland, on the other hand, is NOM IN UR MOUTH.

Love the flavors -- especially the strawberry and the cheesecake. LOVE the toppings bar, because I like every bite to have just a smidge of crunch in it. And I really love the price -- a giant cup with ample nuts runs under $4.

If you haven't been here, run there now. So I have been there 3 times in the last 3 weeks. I love it. Very well priced as you pay by the ounce. I'm excited that they had new different flavors each time I was there. You can get little tasting cups to try the flavors. The majority of flavors are pretty creamy and not sour like many fro-yo places are (unless you get the tart flavors). And it's healthy with probiotics and less fat than ice cream.

My yogurt favs: Coconut, Mint Chocolate Cookies, Oatmeal Cookies, Dragon Fruit, Cinnamon Graham Cracker.
    Parking is terrible on weekends.

My one and only favorite yogurt place!!  I had ice-cream yogurt at other places even before Yogurtland opened on Capitol Hill and I always hated it.

I gave Yogurtland a try when they opened on Broadway and fall in love with it.  I used to go to Molly Moon a lot when I crave for something sweet (and cold).  However, lately I have been sticking with Yogurtland because it didn't make me feel as bad after I eat it.

Yogurt land has variety of yogurt flavors and they always add or rotate new flavors.  My favorite favor is the plane tart.

    TIP FOR THE NOOBS:
Get as little yogurt as you can bear, then stock up on the toppings. The toppings are the BOMB.

It was actually a lot cheaper than I thought it'd be, compared to Utopia. I don't like Utopia all that much. And it's in a nice central location to. Get a cup of yogurt, then take a stroll with your babydoll at Cal Anderson. Or loiter at Blick's. Ha!
