Cute little sushi house on Sherbrook; it has a few tables outside on the porch and 2 levels of dining inside. Although the second floor feels more like a place to hangout as there was a pool table in the middle of the room. The restaurant's decor doesn't evoke traditional sushi restaurant style as much as it does tea house; it's actually quite charming but don't expect to see any zen like decor. They have daily lunch specials that run from $8.99 to $12.99 that include a lot of stuff like one roll, 3 pieces of sushi, gyoza, edamame, soup and salad. Sort of like a bento box special.

I tried the "real crab roll" (6 pieces for $5.99) - it's rare for any sushi place to serve real crab meat in their rolls so I had to try this one. Indeed, it was REAL crab meat, not the imitation crap. They do serve imitation crab in other rolls but they state that specifically. This roll had crab, avocado, mayo and sesame - not a strong tasting roll but it let the crab meat retain its flavour. I didn't even bother using wasabi or soy sauce. Great roll!

The salmon nigiri is wild salmon ($3.49 for two pcs) - it was firm and delicious. My favourite had to be the toro nigiri ($3.99) or tuna belly - it was sooo fatty and flavourful! I could just have that for a meal!

Pricing is pretty average for sushi as it's comparable to most of the popular places in the city (not including Wasabi and its sister locations). There's a great selection of rolls, many of them are priced $5 to $6, special house rolls are about $10-$12 and sashimi orders start at $9.99 for 6 pieces depending on the type of fish you order. I really enjoyed my sushi and look forward to future visits! The only negative about this place is their soy sauce - I really didn't like it as it was way too salty. I barely dipped my food into the soy sauce and found it overpowering. Service was really nice and prompt.
