This place has some damn fine coffee! I never really know what to expect in a diner in a hotel but this stuff is great! The restaurant wasn't especially busy at 7pm on a Tuesday night, which is likely to be expected. I went in, found a seat and the waitress brought me a coffee and a menu. I went for the garlic shrimp with rice.
There's only one waitress and she does a pretty good job of keeping everything in control. Sometimes she gets a bit busy so people just help themselves to more coffee. She works really hard and it looks like she's lived quite a life.
The food was pretty good. The rice was a bit stale but the shrimp were very good.
This restaurant has been around forever but it's bright, reasonable and most of the people that dine here are on their own so no one looks at you funny if you go solo.
They used to be a 24 hour restaurant but since it's so difficult to find staff these days, they close at 9pm. The lounge still serves food until 10pm. The lounge is completely separate from the restaurant.
