I highly recommend seeing Fibie Nia here!!! She has a physiotherapist background and was able to fix up my stiffness and the stress that I carry in my back. Completely AMAZING!
The one time I went to see another massage therapist at this location (I can't remember his name), the results were really (extremely) disappointing! -

I was excited to find this place near where I live. I spoke with the receptionist last week and she booked me in for Monday. I showed up for my appointment and she had not put me into the system and the RMT was unable to see me. The woman at the desk apologized and said she would book me in for today. I showed up today for my appointment and the SAME THING happened again. This time, there wasn't even an offer to make things right. Ridiculous. AVOID this place. Complete and utter waste of time.

Ahhhhhh massage.
I've been going to YMTA for years and have been through several massage therapists and one acupuncturist (who is now gone, sad). Personally, i prefer male MTs but that is a preference. For the past 4 years or so i've been seen Wayne Cork and am definitely a fan. An avid sports enthusiast, Wayne knows how to get the kinks out and is really helpful in suggesting stretches that may help with certain recurring sport injuries (hello plantar fasciatis and tight calves!).
Now let me warn you though, he can go pretty hard core deep tissue on your a** (the expression, not actually massaging the buttocks...well i never asked anyway). But i like that (please don't psycho-analyse me) and i'm sure if you ask, he could ease up and give you a more soothing (wimp) experience. To each their own.
Anyway, he's awesome.
So if you are looking for a relaxing or real deep tissue experience, I highly recommend YMTA.
Also, you can book online which is super convenient.Listed in: Health and Wellness in YVR
