Never judge a book by its cover.  In Yaletown, you'd expect flashy, busy, noisy, and you can find it at plenty of restaurants in Yaletown. Tucked away, almost hidden, is a wonderful little gem, where you can go and get what you really want: great food, great service and an intimate ambience.

Warning: I only went there for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon so I did not get to experience the full effect of the restaurant.  The appearance is wonderful - a little rustic, and very intimate.  You can see the kitchen at work making your meals, and personal attention from the staff makes it seem almost like you're eating at an old friend's home.  It truly epitomizes what a pleasant meal should be - sharing stories and laughter with friends over food and in some cases, but not in mine, wine.

I had the risotto with porcini mushrooms. The fungi were nice and firm, and the risotto, a simple yet effective dish.  Very rich and tender.

I would call this place an ideal first or second date location.  It's not "hopping" like a Cactus Club or Earl's, which makes it that much more enjoyable.  There's no loud music, no TVs to distract.  It provides a much needed break from the day-to-day hustle in which we already live.

Fantastic and inexpensive cozy little Italian spot in Yaletown, where we had lunch on Friday. The pasta special was bowtie with a braised short rib sauce - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS short rib tomato sauce, creamy and meaty, and only got better with parmesan. My friend's mushroom risotto was fantastic also, and the portions were the perfect size for lunch. I'd eat here 3 times a week if this was my regular neighborhood!

This little gem has been open since about mid-november and since then I have been there many times. The real grabber for me was the head chef/cook who makes each dish with love and authenticity (It doesn't hurt that she's a real italian mamma ^_^) The ambience is a mix of all things great: trendy, cozy, romantic, soft music in the background mixing with the bilingual chatter from the patrons and friendly staff. Definitely an experience to savour. My Faves: any of the specialty coffees featuring organic beans, Beef tenderloin carpaccio as a starter and my self-titled "Dessert Triple header" consisting of Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, and Chocolate Mousse. DELIZIOSO

This place is awesome. My girlfriend and I found it here on Yelp. It was a small little cafe, everything was so fresh and tasty, and our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The fresh Buffalo mozzarella cheese with prosciutto was to die for, and the pasta and wine selections were fantastic. Great date spot.
