Not just brownies!
Yes, these brownies are worth a visit. (They're on my list for stocking stuffers next year)
But don't pass up the soup!
It's not your run-of-the-mill soup but home made and flavourful. I loved the Thai soup and look forward to having an excuse to return. -

Just ok.
First, don't be fooled by the name. This location has nothing to do with Yaletown that I'm aware, especially since it's nowhere near downtown - it's in Kitsilano.
Secondly, I expected a bakery but it's more like a cafe with a brownie case. The brownie varieties look good but are somewhat pricey. I visited with a Groupon for an 'assortment' ... which was a pre-packaged box of 1/2 plain brownies and 1/2 plain brownies w/nuts. Not terribly imaginative given the many brownie options they offer.
Brownies are the thin type (like 1/2") and dense like fudge. Tasted OK. -

Though a bit pricey, but I just loved their chocolate bark, yummy. The brownies don't look bad either, but I haven't tried them yet. The one I'm really looking forward to is the Espresso Brownie looks delicious. Till then i will hold back my final decision about this place.
In general the place was clean, that girl at the account seemed nice, but place isn't really setup for seating. There are only a few table, no washrooms. And I don't think they had much to choose from in term of coffee. -

I am one of those girls whom likes her chocolate as much as I like sex. I also bake as a hobby, therefore, I would like to assume that I know a few things about chocolate and baking. The Brownies were good, but they weren't as good as most seem to claim. The gluten free brownie was very rich. I like rich, however, instead of being inventive, they used a hardened flourless cake recipe with corn syrup, a cheap way out. It was like eaten a large semi sweet bar, no real proper texture. There are so many ways to make an awesome gluten free brownie, I had high expectations for Yaletown Brownies and they sadly failed in my eyes.
The guy I am dating had some of their usual suspects and he seemed satisfied with them.
I was gifted a Groupon for 6 assorted brownies. When they say assorted, one would think that they mean a healthy array of their best sellers in and around the same price range. I was disappointed that they gave me a pre-packed box of 3 each of their "normal" and "pecan" brownies. I am gluten intolerant, however, the guy I am dating was not, therefore, politely asked if one could be substituted for a gluten free since they were in and around the same price range.
The lady at the til said I had to call in ahead which seemed odd. She also said that the brownies were pre-packed at the discretion of management, both of these she said were on the website. Okay fair enough, however, when you're gifted a Groupon, you're reading the print off the Groupon itself. The terms and conditions should be spelt out on the Groupon. I pointed this out only to have her blame Groupon for the write up. This is false, Groupon prints the terms and conditions that the restaurant or establishment submits to them.
I get it that she was just a kid at the til and following instructions, however, the proper customer service response would've been, "I am sorry, however, we pre-pack our Groupon brownies at the discretion of management unless otherwise noted by phone prior. I understand your gluten allergy, let me help the person behind you and I will see what we can arrange for you."
I am noticing in general the lack of customer service in retail establishments as of late which creates a poor customer service relationship with the public. As an owner, I would be appalled and should re-consider a fair wage for front counter people whom actually can work with the public and give a shit about their job.
After stating that I will take the box and complain to both Groupon, write management and mention on Yelp, she did replace one of the brownies. Weak that it took me a promise to complain to all three before I received proper service. -

Their chocolate mint brownie is almost as good as that first taste of cold water after waking up from a night of drinking. That good. It is one of those things that you just want it to never end.. i am sure i could put an analogy with that one too, but we are PG here folks come on... But seriously, we went there from one of those groupon now deals ($3 for $6), and got two brownies.. we were taking the smallest bites ever just so it would last that extra minute or so!
Just imagine that mint chocolate brownie warmed up, a la mode? Dont even get me started. -

Today is their grand opening. I dropped by and tried out some of their brownies. They had about 6 flavors, but out of all I liked the Chocolate Glaze the most. The lady who worked there asked me to try the brownie with an Espresso. It was amazing how the flavors came out so much more, so rich! Afterward, I ordered a panini take out for my girlfriend. She said its unbelievably good. The one she tried was Bocconcini and Tomato, and I would recommend everyone to try that!
Interior design wise, main colours were brown and green. I didnt know brown and green could matched so good together. The background of the wall was green and had a big wood panel on top. And they had some frames hanging down from the top of the panel.
Thanks Yaletown Brownies Bakery! -

Had a croissant and coffee. They were both decent.

Just when I thought a brownie is a brownie, wait til you try these! Made fresh and cosmetically, well-made. Tried the half-dozen, though not super expensive but not for the value-conscious, 6 for $18 but worth it if you love sweets. Recommend the peppermint, white chocolate and espresso. Nice and clean!

I was walking down W Broadway, when I spotted their sign from across the street. As soon as I noticed the young man with a tray of samples, I had to double back to the intersection and head over! OMG! The small sample of their Glazed Brownie had me hooked. There was no turning back now. At $3.50 they are not cheap....but they are AMAZING. Moist, rich and buttery...you can't allow yourself to worry about the calories. (OK, to reduce my guilt, I had to cut it into small pieces and nibble at it over 3 days. It was as delicious the 3rd day as it was the first). But now I'm hooked. I've been obsessing about them since that last bite. Addictive!

This place is amazing!!! I noticed them while i was walking down West Broadway yesterday. I tried one of their samples and MAN THOSE ARE ADDICTING BROWNIES. they melt in your mouth. LITERALLY. i went in and bought 4 right away! they have around 8 different kinds! so no matter what you like, they'll defiantly be able to satisfy your chocolate desire and leave you wanting more and more and more. (plus their coffee is AMAZING with the brownies)
