Wu Fung is a restaurant in the Aberdeen Centre (Mall) food court with an interesting mix of Asian food, most of which is hard to find elsewhere.
Crazy dishes include deep fried chicken knee, deep fried squid (tentacles), deep fried beef intestines, and deep fried cuddle fish balls.
I read a review on Chow Times mentioning the deep fried intestines, and I had to stop in and try them.
Crunchy on the outside, and blandly chewy on the inside, they were hard to swallow for a Westerner not accustomed to eating intestines. Mentally, it was hard to eat them, but the actual food was prepared well. The beef was a bit flavorless, but it was my first taste of intestines, so it's hard to judge it against a nice medium rare steak.
If you're new to this type of cuisine, stop in and try some. It's definitely an interesting culinary experience.
