If you like Danish teak, mid-century modern, or simply authentic retro designer furniture, Wow certainly lives up to its name. This is the place to shop if you like your antiques cool, like something out of the movie Down with Love. I think they must have a warehouse of this stuff somewhere because the displays are always changing. Nevertheless, a theme emerges: geometric shaped chandeliers, low slung couches and chairs, dramatic teak wall units, shelves, and credenzas. Not to mention the perfect glass-and-mirrors corner bar unit. There's always something interesting to look at it in this tiny shop.

Like most west-coasters (or people of my ilk, for that matter), I adore mid-century modern, Danish teak, and designer vintage furniture. When lurking Craigslist isn't cutting it, WoW is a great place to find such gems. With their mix of retro and contemporary pieces, this well-curated shop is a dream for a goil like me. The only problem is resisting the temptation to break out my old plastic rectangular friend to buy a 6-seater Wegner dining set. I mean really, I live in the West End, who do I think I am? I can't even fit a coffee table in my place without it getting crowded.
No matter. A girl can dream, can't she?
Someday I'm going to find the perfect piece to fit into my tiny home, and will no longer be the person who leaves drool stains on all of their Danish teak.
