Friendly service and delicious frozen yogurt! I love how they offer a lot of fruit flavours. (Their raspberry was my favourite!) I do like chocolate/toffee/red velvet, etc, but in my opinion, frozen yogurt tastes so much better when combined with fresh fruit flavours.
I also appreciate the fact they keep their fruit toppings separate from non-fruit ones. It is a bummer that they close on Sunday, but I did enjoy my frozen yogurt at WOW Bubble Tea. (It also appears to be a pretty popular bubble tea place...) -

Bland match green tea. For that price, nordstrom offers organic fair trades......
For like almost 5, I rather go to starbucks. -

I'm a big bubble tea fan, and I found this place's prices, service, and quality were slightly better than most places I've been.
Given the location near the university, parking can be difficult, so it's probably easier to walk here or have an extra person who can be dropped off at the curb and picked up again.
Since it may be a positive or negative for some customers, I should mention that a distinctive thing about this place is its Christian atmosphere. WOW apparently stands for "wonder of worship." They have a banner displaying Psalm 1 and Christian music quietly playing in the background. The religious vibe is easy to overlook and didn't make a difference either way to me because the tea, service, and cost were all good. -

PINA COLADA!!! I LOVE!!!
If you decide to get this, make sure you ask for half the sugar because it can get really sweet :)
I often go there to sit, chat, and play jenga with friends. Really good place to hang out on the ave if you don't drink/underage. -
Review from Kevin W.
Oh man, there are so many bubble tea places on the Ave and I sometimes find it hard to be motivated to walk too far north from campus to get to the more distant stores. Luckily, WOW justifies the somewhat longer walk. If I'm not mistaken, it's a mom and pop shop, which makes this place actually meaningful to review. It also means no inexperienced young people behind the counter and thankfully some consistency in the quality. I just wish they would open a bit earlier. Seriously, why 1:00 PM? Sometimes I like my bubble tea before lunch!
I guess because the family can do whatever with the store they want, they've decorated it with what appear to be passages from the Bible. They can be seen all over the place from the posters on the walls to the plastic seals on the bubble tea cups. Even the music of this place sounds like Christian gospel music. It's an unusual but interesting touch, and it's nice to see people take their religion so seriously. At least they don't try to foist their views upon you. You can also see the care they take into maintaining a well-lit store, clear clean glass tables, and comfortable sofas. Another big plus in my book is how all their straws are individually wrapped in plastic; they feel a lot safer than exposed ones. And they finally got an HDTV to replace those nine smaller TVs used to make up a single image!
I ordered a strawberry milk tea here. They have a normal-sized cup and a smaller one for thirty cents less; I think it's better to stick to the normal one. With tapioca, the total came to $3.61. I wouldn't call it competitively priced, but it's still inexpensive and worth the cost. The wait is short despite the limited staff, and the drink is pretty good. For a milk tea, there's a hint of sour to it and it actually tastes like it uses real strawberries. However, I'm told that their milk teas use artificial flavoring whereas their smoothies use real fruits. They could have had me fooled! The best part is how light they are on the ice; there was less than one inch of it after I was done. One of my biggest pet peeves with bubble tea is an excessive amount of ice that ruins any flavor that the drink may have had, but they strike that delicate balance perfectly here.
WOW isn't the quietest or the most private place to get work done. The tables are more conducive to socializing than reading or writing, so it would probably be a good idea to take any studying somewhere else. You wouldn't want to try to read while the blender is whirring anyway; they make smoothies quite often so you can count on hearing that loud noise a lot. But as a bubble tea place or even just as a hangout place, it gets the job done. I like it a lot more than the Starbucks next door. And thankfully, they open until midnight for those of you who crave late night snacks. -
Review from Joshua B.
An old friend of mine introduced me to this place many years ago and it has been one of my favorite places to get bubble tea. It is a nice spot for college kids to come hang out, do homework or study and play some games and enjoy some delicious smoothies/ bubble tea. They have fast service so you don't have to wait to long to get your bubble tea, unless they are really busy.
The menu is huge and has plenty of different varieties to choose from, such as different types of milk tea, smoothies and frozen yogurt. They also give you the option of getting fruit jellies or tapioca. It's always fun to order up my favorite green apple bubble tea with the big boba and go walk around U-District. The parking sucks since its all street parking and the U-District is always busy, but this place is worth the walk. -

Oh, this place is cool....they stay open late...they use the "good" boba...fresh fruit varities...
Whoa! But what's with the bible verse on the wall? World....of.....Worship? WOW stands for World of Worship? That's so creep.....OH SHIT! Everyone in here is reading a bible?! THIS PLACE IS FUCKING BANANAS! I'll take my late-night bubble teas to go you zany religious fucks!
Good people. -

This place is okay.
I was here recently and tried its "natural" bubble tea that is supposed to be healthier, but it was just okay. The naturals are pretty pricey.. i guess you do have to pay more to be healthy..
This place is really not that clean... -

I would strongly urge anyone who is visiting the U-district that no visit is complete without at least a visit to WOW bubble tea in one's lifetime here. Nothing beats the fresh fruit bubble tea smoothies made right on hand.
Best part is the freedom to customize your drink into any flavor and tons of add-ins of boba and jellies. You've got about a hundred ways to do it.
Its always pretty packed with students and cute gossiping girls, great nostalgia of by gone college days now relived through giant boba straws of my memory.Listed in: U-District: whereabouts to be

Review from Steve V.
This is the 2nd time I have been here now. I think it is one of the better boba / bubble tea places in the University District. I haven't tried too much in the International District, so can't compare to that.
Teas and fruit juices are freshly made. They have a small and large size and several types of jellies to add to your tea. I had the coffee with tapioca pearl. Pearls were not too chewy or too hard...tasted like they were made today as opposed to sitting around for a while. A little pricey - expect to pay $3-4 depending on the size.
There are 5-10 tables and booths where you can hang out. They have a shelf with board games, like Jenga and Monopoly.
Of note, if this bothers you, this place is VERY Christian. There are Bible quotes on the walls and on your cup. They even have the Bible version of the game Outburst!
Great after dinner snack if you are in the U-district.Listed in: Asian Eats in Seattle!, Boba, Seattle Desserts!

Avocado bubble tea!!!!WHAT?!?!?
Yes, I highly recommend the Avocado Bubble Tea with Mango, perfect combination. great balance of sweetness. We had it with lychee + tapioca, awesome combination.
They have quite the selection of flavors and accompaniments, as well as fro yo I believe.
Every cup comes 'sealed' -I don't know how - which makes it seem more hygienic. The staff is friendly, it seems family run. It's a decent place to sit back and relax too, play some Jenga! -

I lalalove bubble tea or boba! Especially WOW Bubble Tea. The service is extremely courteous and the ambiance is comfortable enough to either relax/chill with friends or sit by one of the corner couches and read a book. Not to mention it's probably a perfect place to go on a date with that special someone. I love how there are biblical verses on the boba caps and this place only plays Christian music! I'm still pretty new to this place but based off of my several visits so far, I can't get enough of their variety of drinks--smoothies, boba, tea, coffee, and froyo! My favorite is the Green Apple Kiwi smoothie. I've tried the Pink Lady (watermelon, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream) and the Peach Mango smoothie, both are pretty goood! I highly recommend this place!

Review from Melody P.
My lil sister introduced me to WOW Bubble Tea. However, I've never had bubble tea here. I had their smoothies and frozen yogurt. I have to say that I had good experiences here.
A big space for a large group of people to hang out. There are several games you can play in the store. The service is good, however, it could be slow if it's in a rush hour.
The Berry smoothie I had was good. It totally tasted fresh. From where you order, you can totally see their work station. They have fresh fruit displayed in front of you. Even though I didn't finish it the same day, I totally enjoyed it!
The frozen yogurt was good. A little sweet but not too sweet (in a lot of stores, their original frozen yogurt tastes really sour). Just enough topping to have the strawberry flavor, but not over powering.
The only thing I didn't like about this place is the PARKING! We had to park over the Safeway close by and walked over. And, we were afraid of getting towed (you are not supposed to park in Safeway parking lot if you are not their customers). But, fortunately, it didn't take us too long to get our iced treats.

Not a fan.
I may be spoiled, having grown up on bubble tea from toronto, ontario but personally I don't think this place deserves the high rating it gets. This is the third bubble tea place I've been to since arriving in Seattle (besides boiling point, which was a 3* and regeant bakery, which I give 1* to).
I ordered a Green Apple Green Tea with Tapioca- your typical, generic bubble tea. All you need is good powder, liquid sugar and good green tea. Fail.
I was drinking powder every time I took a sip, the green tea they have in stock tasted TERRIBLE, you can probably get better green tea in a bag at a caucasian grocery store and the tapioca was over cooked (and they barely put any into mine or my bf's drinks).
I know a lot of reviews suggested smoothies, yogurt etc but if a bubble tea place can't even make a generic Green Ap. Gr. Tea then it's not worth it for me to try anything else IMO.
I'll be going to other places in the U-District and hopefully I'll find something I like. I realize everyone has different tastes and standards but if you're used to the bubble teas in Ontario then I say skip this place and regeant bakery. If you're really desperate Boiling Point in Bellevue will hold you off for a day or two. -
Review from Jay S.
Wonder of Worship bubble tea - interesting idea for a business, Christian sweet treats. As long as they don't shove it down my throat along with my tea and don't engage in hypocritical practices, I'm fine with it.
Paid $4.50 for a giant, 20 ounce pudding smoothie. It was very good - they could teach a lot of other places something about how to prepare tapioca! Next time I'll get a double order of bubas as there weren't quite enough for me (don't tell them gluttony is my sin).
Not happy they didn't offer me a punch card since I paid for two teas in cash. If I return, I may bump them up a star if they give me a card. As those who know me can attest - I am a cheap, punch card ho. -

I think what they're known for is their smoothi/milkshake like boba drinks. They're pretty big for $5 and it was too much for me.
I like that this place accepts credit cards with no minimum required. -

I've tried many boba places on the ave and this is by far THE BEST BUBBLE TEA place. Best thing about here is that they have POG (passion orange guava) flavored bubble tea. It's delicious! It's a fair price for the size of the drink, and make sure to get it with tapioca boba.
Bring CASH if you want to get stamps on their stamp card. Otherwise, they take credit card but I'm not sure if there is a minimum purchase price for that. -
Review from Kevin C.
My favorite bubble tea place on the Ave, and Seattle. They make their stuff from fresh fruit, and everything they have is delicious. I'm very picky about the boba at many places, sometimes its undercooked, too soft, not flavorful enough, too sweet. But they get it just right here.
My favorite is the Pink Lady, Which is strawberry watermelon, and cream.
Only downside is that they charge a little bit more than other places, but for what they give you, it's worth it. -

I'm usually not a big fan of bubble tea since I had previously worked at one for most of my HS career. But friends were craving it and we decided to hit up WOW.
I've gone here several times during my undergrad and remember the drinks being extremely sweet. I recommend ordering your drink with half sugar: it will still be more than enough. Last night was a sort of chilly too so I ordered a hot almond tea with lychee jelly. Pretty tasty. The drink wasn't scalding hot nor was it watered down like a lot of places. I wish they gave me more jelly though.
I'll be coming back here when in once in a blue moon I am craving bbt! -

WOW stands for Wonder of Worship. A christian bubble tea business? Pretty unique. But this doesn't make a difference. It is one of the most popular spots in the U-district and they offer many flavors. They use powder tea, milk tea, fruit smoothies, and plain tea for their drinks. The boba is always cooked just right.
The bad part of this place is that they primarily serve huge 20 oz. servings. They do offer a smaller portion but you can only order 2 of those at a time. I wish the portions could be a bit smaller because the bubble tea can be really filling and fattening if you are not careful.
The interior has huge TV along with seating and tables. They offer lots of board games for you to play. The Jenga blocks are fun to add graffiti to. Perfect place to hang out with your friends. -

I went to WOW (wonder of worship) tonight after Alisa B. suggested it for my cult eat list.
WOW loves Jesus. They play Christian musics, have scriptures on the wall, posters for missionary camp and invites to church all over this place.
I ordered the Starburst, which I rate a 7/10. It was a kiwi-banana-strawberry smoothie with tapioca bubbles in it. The drink was sweet and I really liked it at first, but then I got kind of sick of it. The tapioca balls they used also had a weird flavor. Usually they don't taste like anything, but at WOW, they tasted like bad breath.
Tom H. ordered a taro bubble tea, and he rated it an 8/10 and he rated my starburst a 9/10 and finished it when I got sick of it. He didn't think the bubbles tasted bad either.
I didn't like it inside WOW. It was too crowded with teenagers making out and they took a really long time making the drinks. $4.60 for a smoothie was also a bit steep, I thought, especially considering all the competition for smoothies and bubble teas on the ave. WOW is definitely better than Oasis though, and I like the unique flavor choices they have.
Important fact: stamp cards are only stamped if you pay in cash.Listed in: Cult Eats

Alright...I'm not a boba snob...I swear.
All I ordered was a cold boba milk tea. Thats like ordering vanilla ice cream from Haagindaaz or a regular glazed donut from Dunkin.
What I got was watered down milk tea that was lukewarm. LUKEWARM! They sheisted me and 2 of my friends out of ICE!
The boba, however, was sweet and chewy. I give them an extra star for that. But, if you own a bubble tea store, and make crappy milk tea, thats just wrong. -
Review from Ian S.
Milk tea, cold or hot, with a side of Jesus.
Check out the super awesome wall of prayer across from the counter. Give a listen to the sound of praise being pumped in.
It's mostly subtle though. That's fine, I guess.
Yunnie, down the street, is a little more comfortable when I have gone, but they basically serve the same product with a few differences.
This place seems to have more of the asian palate favorites I wasn't finding when I went to Yunnie before coming here. I didn't seen green bean on the menu there anyway. I would have noticed, I think. Also WOW is a buck or so cheaper if you're getting tapioca and/or jelly.
There are so many choices that you could have one of these three times a day for years and not have the same thing twice.
Update: For a true five star experience, come here after, during, or before you're going to get your sin on. Talk about what you're going to do, perform, or enjoy in a firm and confident voice to the quivering little christians. It'll validate them a bit and entertain you. -

WoW=Wonder of Worship
No joke.
If I had to rate the smoothie with tapioca I got, it would probably be a 2, meh, I've experienced better describes it perfectly. It was really bland and under flavored compared with Yunnie down the Ave. I wont be back to find out whether that's their standard because of the oppressive Christian environment.
I am by no means religiously intolerant, but when I'm eating out I don't want to be in an environment with Christian music and bible verses all over the place. I really wish restaurants and establishments would keep things like that to themselves. Unless religion is essentially incorporated into the concept of a restaurant somehow, I prefer the environment to be secular. I'm not going to leave a place if it has discrete religious references or anything, but WoW is absolutely over the top.
If you don't mind a(n) (un)healthy dose of Jesus with your bubble tea, this place may be for you, but the religious environment really rubbed me the wrong way.Listed in: University District-Seattle

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BUBBLE TEA SPOT!!!
Some of my favorites include:
milk tea: regular, green tea milk tea
blended: rich green tea, cool green tea, strawberry raspberry with ice cream, mango peach...
ALL with tapioca pearls :)
This was a regular spot for my colleagues and I, and this place is open late!! Sometimes we'd go in a group to just hang out there, and sometimes play some Jenga. lol.
The staff is SUPER friendly and nice. And even though I'm not living in Seattle anymore, a few of the workers like Jay and Shawn still remember me when I visit! I recommend this place to any bubble tea fiend! Just try it!! :DListed in: Sleepless in Seattle, Tea Time!

A first visit to this place made me smile. The interior is inviting, bright, and felt relaxed. The service was quick, informative when questioned, and kind.
They offer milk tea, smoothies, smoothies with extras, and non fat frozen yogurt. There is clear signage that explains every ingredient in the unique flavors and what is in the others. When I was there they offered 4 flavors of frozen yogurt.
I ordered a cold green tea nonfat milk tea. It was $3.01and tasty. It was little on the sweet side.
Fyi's~
* They have board games- card games (SkipBo ect)- activities to borrow etc
* There are tables and chairs + lots of newer style couches to sit on
* There are bible verses posted on the walls and on the plastic products

This place is incredible if you're looking for a delicious cup of bubble tea.
However, if your head is too far up your bum to get over the quiet christian music playing in the background, and the verses written on the lids, then you should go someplace else.
When you walk in, you recieve a friendly greeting - they don't throw bibles at you. They don't say God Bless when you leave. Anyone should feel welcome here - regardless of their beliefs. -

I have been on a bubble tea kick lately, so I decided to try WOW today.
First of all, does anyone know what WOW means? I thought it was just, " WOW, this tea is damn good..wow!! " NO, WOW, I learned, stands for Wonder of Worship. hmmm. I am not sure that I like God served up with my bubble tea, so this is a little strange...not to mention that they were playing Jesus Rock as well. strange. It felt a little like I was in the midst of an afterschool church group. many young kids and so many tooty fruity tea flavors..This strangeness aside, my tea was ok, not as good as I thought Gossip was though.. -
Review from Stacia H.

This place is amazing. I find the Bible propaganda highly amusing! It's most of the reason I come here, for the novelty - I mean how often do you find places like this smack dab in the middle of Seattle? I take friends here for kicks.
Also, the workers are almost frighteningly nice and helpful, no doubt high on Jesus from listening to the same CD on repeat for hour after hour. But hey, I'm not complaining - I'd take that over a snotty barista any day :)
Also, they have soy, which is an option a lot of Bubble Tea places don't have because they have "non-dairy creamer" which actually has casein. So if you get something with a flavored syrup, it actually will be truly vegan, unlike many other bubble tea places.
The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because you just can't study here - the music starts drilling into your head and driving you insane after some time. -
Review from Wing M.
Putney, VT
The tea, mediocre.
The seating, extra comfy.
The atmosphere, open and friendly.
The name, an acronym for Wonder of Worship.
The Christian rock, cheesy 80s bad.
So, here's the thing. This place has a giant banner with Psalm 1:1-6 on it proclaiming that the LORD will crush the wicked sinners etc. etc. etc. and it plays Christian rock all the time. Keep in mind that these two things don't actually really influence my review that much, except for the fact that the music they were playing was crap and I had to blast much better Christian music on my iPod to focus on writing my paper. However, you may just find the display of religion distasteful and never go here. Well, you won't be missing much.
This place has good air conditioning, a well lit atmosphere, comfy chairs and a really clean bathroom. Also, free wi-fi. That's really nice. Except... the tea's mediocre. I don't actually like bubble tea so I always evaluate a bubble tea place based on the old stand by normal, cold milk tea. I mean, if you can't do the basic right, how can you make the more complex teas? Their tea was... um... mediocre. It was slightly cheaper than many of the other places on the Ave but it was still not very good. The tea was way to watered down, for one, and had way too much ice in it making the volume not actually a selling point.
I'll admit that I went to this place (as opposed to Yunnie, Oasis and the other half-dozen tea places on the Ave) mostly out of curiosity since my old roommate Maryna G. kept telling me about how this place has Bible quotes on the cups. The quotes are kind of fun since they're like fortune cookies and you can compare them to other people's and possibly add "in bed" to them if you're that kind of person. It was nice to relax there for a bit during a hot summer day, but I don't think I'll go back again no matter how eccentrically endearing it is because, well, the tea is mediocre.Listed in: Establishments with Silly…

Best damned boba I've ever had. Gigantic cups that I'd pay twice as much for. If I had one wish that I could use to change my world in some relatively insignificant way, I would move Wow Bubble Tea to Los Angeles. You Seattle bastards should consider yourselves lucky.
Update (August 2007): No disillusionment here. Wow Bubble tea is just as good as I remembered... If you want something interesting, try the grape-yogurt (a little too sweet for me, but reminds me of Asian candy). -

Yay my first review as a yelp Elite! It feels great, you need to get in on it.
DUDE, after a heavy heavyy dose of Thai Tom, this is the place to chilll and lett all that good golly grease settle. I mean it! Thai Tom is always rushing you out, so they can plug in the next diners, and as soon as you get up, OH Gosh! it's such an extreme! you're dining on heavenly cuisine and then you get up to go and have the most miserable feeling in your gut.. I use WOW and their ample seating (esp. their booths) to ease my aches before I trek up the hill back home. Plus they have awesome, spacious bathrooms here. :)
Also on the night where you're asking what to do at 11 after a dinner date with friends, you can always say, "Hey, lets go play board games and drink boba at WOW whilst we listen to worship songs!" I particularly like Battleship and Uno, and my taro smoothie with tapioca. It's a tanker and i can never finish my inexpensive drink in one sitting. I'm glad that they take credit-cards, because they know college kids only carry plastic. they're open late til midnight and don't really shoo you til they really need to close up.
i haven't been adventurous yet to try their other bazillion choices of drinks. they have a shelf full of other fun board games; i always think its funny to mention to my friends, "hey, lets play heavy trash bags!" --because they store their boxes of trash bags there. i get no laughs.
Definitely worth it to take a gander. I'll prolly go here again before i leave back home to SF. -

Seattle, WA
I've been to WOW a couple of times, and because I don't remember anything specific about their boba, that usually means the drinks were OK. Not great enough to make it to the top of my list (like Black Pearl Teahouse in Alderwood Mall), but not negatively memorable to be at the bottom either (Oasis).
What *is* memorable is the atmosphere. Like other reviewers said, the place is owned by Christians, so they play Christian music. But it's subtle. I did ask the employees about it, hoping to strike up a conversation about their purpose and faith, but even when I asked them about church, they did not attempt to invite me. In fact, they seemed more hesitant to talk about it more than anything, which I found odd (esp. as a Christian, I would be excited to see someone interested in their reasoning of opening up a Christian boba place).
Anyway, the board games are a great way to give people things to do while they're drinking, and it creates a fun interactive atmosphere. When the people at the table next to you are playing Jenga, it's hard not to lean over to watch. -

I didn't stick around WoW Bubble Tea long enough to get a big huge dose of "The Lord", but did get to see a bit of Shark Week on Discovery Channel while waiting for my drinks. WoW has an impressive 8-TV array and although I don't understand why, I guess the students like it?
They do have a nice selection of board games and comfy looking tables/booths where I observed two different games of Scrabble being played.
A reasonably good Lemon Green Tea was purchased here, but I found the drink to be overly sweet in the end. I'd probably go to Yunnie or Gossip next time on that block. -

I've only heard good things about this place so i finally tried it the other day.
I had the peach jasmine bubble tea (no milk). It was so refreshing! I don't like "genuine" tea that tastes like water with a hint of flavor. I like mine to be sweet (but not so sweet that it tastes like candy). So this was perfect for me. The bubbles were the perfect texture of chewiness. I would come here again!
The place itself is colorful, fun, and very "college-like." I can see why students would want to come out here and chat or play games.
Okay I tried this place again yesterday and yet again... so good! I had the raspberry-honeydew fruit blend with tapioca balls. Sweet enough to make you want to take another sip again and again. These two flavors complement each other so well! Fruity and refreshing. Great for a summer day, even when it's not summer. -
Review from Inna B.
Their smoothies/bubble teas are quite tasty! I love that they have a variety of combination flavor drink/smoothie ideas instead of you having to pick one (if you're not a one-flavor kind of person).
Every once in a while I notice the bible quote on the lid and it almost weirds me out, but it doesn't really matter cause I'm there for the fruity drink and not to read the words on the container.Listed in: Cool Treats & Sweets, BUBBLE TEA!
