Review from Catherine S.

World Sewing Centre on Queen Street is a fantastic store. I have bought a lot of fabric and notions from this store. The people that work there are friendly and extremely helpful. There is so much fabric in the store. I just love this store it is so much better than Fabricland. I would recommend it to anyone.

This place is another one of your typical fabric stores in the Queen Street West area. But, this place is probably the biggest one out of them all. It is messy, but they have amazing deals.
This was the last stop of my fabric search. With a tight budget for my dress, this place offered amazing help and prices. The worker is so helpful, I couldn't believe how satisfying it felt to finally feel like you're finding something amazing. My aunt and I told her our price range and she showed us the LARGE selection of fabric that was on sale for $4.99 and $7.99. We told her the colour we were looking for and she found two for us under the $4.99 selection. YAY!
The lady was so accommodating that she decided to give us a flat rate of $20 for 5 yards of the green fabric. More than we needed for an amazing price.
This place is very messy, but i gave them an extra star for their help and affordable (oops, i mean, AFFORDABLE!!!!!) prices!
I definitely recommend this place!
Note: Yes, I know I use amazing too much in this review! -
Review from vanessa v.
i have mixed feelings about worldsew. it is one of the best-stocked fabric stores in the area. aside from having a ton of fabric, they have every notion your heart could desire. they even carry random things like knitting needles that have nothing to do with sewing. the fabric, in my opinion, is overpriced. now-- that goes for most of queen west. i'd say worldsew is about average for the block.
they do things to trick you like put out a "$4/yd" table and cover it with fabrics that are actually twice the price. for notions, though, the prices are reasonable and the quality is good. they seem to do a pretty big machine servicing business but i don't think i'd trust them with mine-- they're not friendly at all.Listed in: i'm not your friend, guy

Review from anne c.
Vancouver, BC
Being from good old Vancouver this little street is like fabric heaven! With that being said, I found the ladies in the store extremely nice and helpful. The one gal that worked there literally climbed through the mountain of fabrics to find what I was looking for. Prices were the cheapest I found after comparing them with the other places on Queen st and to the sad selection of stores we have over in the west coast. In short, it was a pleasant shopping experience and I will be back. But please feel free to lead me to anything better if you yelpers think I am sadly mistaken.
