I love Woofstock. Mainly because my little man Mooshu loves it too. Really, this is the key to my heart - when he is happy, I am blissful.

This year did seem smaller but the vendors were nice and friendly. I learnt a lot about the current state of pet affairs and stocked up on Moo's fav goodies at decent prices. Also, there were tons of free supplies to be had. They were even giving out ice cream and water for the human friends.

    Down-side: RAIN.

I love it, as I always do.  Started going a few years ago, and rarely miss attending.

Always so many dogs to see and admire.

I love the freebies (scored free samples, a free frisbee.  would have gotten more if I were willing to line up), the Deals, and the crazy cheap dog outfits ($6. ea. or 4 for $20) !!

Plus, is there any environment that's more dog-friendly than Woofstock?

Everyone working there is very friendly, and we all seem to have something in common: a love for having animals in our lives  :)

There's something for every canine, canine-lover, and felines, too!!!

*Some of the annual Human grub tends to include the following food fare: roasted/BBQ corn; expensive but tasty funnel cakes w/ optional soft ice cream, whipped cream, berry sauce, and icing.  Zoe likes...  Mmm...

Woofstock was soo fun this year - lots of things to see.
There were tons of dog treats - the girls were kind of livered out and tired of having their bums sniffed after a while.  We we bought these totally cute harnesses and

On my way to getting lost in St. Lawrence I was bombarded with a flood of doggies from the Woofstock Festival. I'm not a dog owner but I thought this was such a cute idea for people who are.

And even if you aren't a dog owner Woofstock serves a purpose as a great venue for people watching. So many people had their dogs in strollers or little backpacks and while much of it was comedy I have to ask-what is wrong with you people who dye your dog's bubble gum putrid pink? Don't you think it's a bit fucked up? I mean come on, how would you like walking around for the rest of your life resembling cotton candy? Hows a dog supposed to have any dignity?

This have to be the best year for Woofstock according to Momo!

He took his mama there on a Sunday. The weather was perfect as it was overcast, cool and with no rain. May not be perfect human outing weather, but great for dogs that has long fur and breathing problem.

I have to say this is the busiest year for Woofstock compare to other years I have been. There are a lot more exhibitors and manufacturers handing out free samples!

All the dogs behave so well! Just think about with hundreds of dog gathering there, they all got along peacefully.

Kudo to all the restaurants in the area able to accomodate the doggies and their owners in their patios! Wish Momo can have lunch or enjoying a latte/beer/cocktail in the patios more often.

So looking forward to another Woofstock! BTW, I think they going to have another one in the Winter. But I wondering if there will be admission since it is down at the CNE ground.

    Another great year for Wookstock!

I manged to get there early and miss the rain.  It seemed to be the same size and vendors as last year.  What I would say made the difference for me this year was that the weather wasn't blazing hot like last year.  The cool air made the event much more enjoyable.  Also going first thing on the Saturday morning meant that the people working the booths were fresh and cheery.

Also by going early, there were tons of free samples to be had.  I spent some time talking to the different manufacturers and by doing so they miraculously had more samples to give me that they pulled out from behind the table.

My dogs (unsuccessfully) participated in a frozen yogurt eating contest and were offered as many treats as they could eat.  If I had wanted to wait in the lineups they could have had their pictures taken at many different photo booths.

Now that we're back at home, the pups have curled up on the couch for a much deserved afternoon nap.

This was my first time woofstock experience and I had such a good time!!!
My little man was a rescue so I'm trying to socialize him with other dogs and I have to say he did a good job. Lots of people were taking pictures of him as well as other dogs (sometimes to promote products) and he was such a good boy.
I loved looking at all the other dogs, some very rare, we saw a pair of dogs that were the only 2 breeding in North America (Chinese Chong Ching if you were wondering).
Got TONS of free samples, Sumo was in doggie treat HEAVEN. Also scored 2 bags of free dog food, leashes, coupons for food and treats.
Definately will be going back next year!!

Buddy had a GREAT time at Woofstock! Tons of other dogs to sniff at, an obstacle course that he somewhat managed to walk through, cool weather without rain, and a bunch of free treats -along with a bag of bacon strips- to enjoy while there!
We, too, went early Saturday morning, and managed to leave just as the rain started. When we were there, it was pretty crowded, so we couldn't get close enough to the stage during the fashion show to take pictures... But it was fun and amusing to watch. :)
We got Buddy into the obstacle course by Paws Way, but couldn't get in to get him a picture with one of the random cut-outs anywhere.
I'm sure that the main point of this is to introduce pet owners to all of the products that are out there for doggy-care, but I found it to be very sales-oriented. Not that anything is really wrong with that, as the different companies are what makes Woofstock possible, but it would be been nice if there were more activities I guess... I missed the dog-trick show unfortunately. :(
(I didn't even know about that frozen yogurt eating contest!!!! lol...)
Buddy had way too much energy while there, and loved meeting other dogs. One thing I noticed is that some people seem to be really picky about their dogs meeting other dogs, even if they're mild-tempered. I saw a lot of owners pulling their pooches away from dogs they were trying to "sniff out", which was a bit odd to me. This was the perfect place to allow dogs to socialize. Aside from the odd person, the crowd that this event attracted was really friendly.
On the way home, Buddy fell fast asleep in the car. And pretty much the rest of the day, he was sleeping. Great way to tire out an overexcited pup! ;)
I have to remember to post some pictures soon! We'll most likely be going again next year.

Fantastic!  I've gone two years in a row.  The dogs, the people, the craziness!  I've seen some neat products and bought way to much stuff!  I get lots of compliments on Norman's cooling coat purchased there.  I can't wait to see the winter woofstock this year!
