This restaurant is constantly packed with people and the food is gernerally delicious as it is fresh and hot out of the kitchen. The prices are slightly higher than similar noodle stores but the prices are worth it.

It's a typical noodle house diner. It doesn't stand out. The food is good, but not great -it's good for when you're starving and is looking for something quick but not unhealthy.
Before I even walk in, I am put off by the small group of people who is smoking outside - I dont think they work at the restaurant, but they look like regulars at this place. It is unfortunate because the smell alters my appetite - I suppose thats the purpose of smoking...
We are greeted quite quickly by one of the waitresses when we enter, despite seeing how the place is usually at least half full with large groups of guests. Once seated, we are promptly served with tea and the menu. The menu is quite large with a nice variety - vegetarian, seafood, rice, noodles, etc.
The food comes quite quickly and hot. The servers don't check up on you until you call them, but they're usually quite quick and prompt with their service which is nice.
The dishes aren't outstanding that I'd crave anything in particular at this restaurant, but I would go back again.
Price wise, it is average in comparing against other like Chinse dinners. -

Sunday at 3pm and we were starving. We were actually trying to get into Top Gun however they were closed and told us to come here instead.
As we walked in, I realised that we were not the only people who couldn't find a place to eat late lunch. As we were seated we were handed menus and were told that they only have 5 dishes at this time of day. Out of the 5 dishes, they had roast duck in soup noodles, beef tendon in soup and in dry noodles as well as mince pork on dry noodles plus 1 more which I've forgotten.
I asked if I could have the roast duck on dry noodles instead and she immediately snapped said "no". I couldn't understand why they just couldn't omit the soup. The waitress wasn't the friendliest so we decided on the beef on dry noodles and in soup as well as the mince pork on noodles. 5 minutes later the dishes came out steaming hot. We tucked into our food and surprisingly it wasn't so bad especially since it was $6.50 a dish. The pork mince noodles was very tasty, similar to a proper Dan Dan noodle dish while the beef tendon dishes was also very good. We got more tendon than meat but at that time of day I am guessing that they would only have what is left over from lunch.
Be warned though, the side soups that come with the main meals is so laden with MSG (and I like MSG) that after a sip, I couldn't have any more.
At $6.50, free tea and nothing else if open at that time, guess I couldn't ask for more. -

Another restaurant visit encouraged by the intriguing name.
Friends often wonder what's up with my obsession with divey Chinese places. I'm not sure. I do appreciate the occasional high-end restaurant, but there's just something about a quick, cheap, divey Chinese meal. It's almost like you don't have to, nor should have to, pay a lot for delicious happiness, unlike some other cuisines...although it takes a bit of bravery to enter a ghetto building and deal with sometimes impatient waitstaff. To me, it's worth it.
The house specialty here, the wonton noodle soup, is a mere $4.50. It's not a gigantic bowl like most places, but that's fine with me, it's just right plus lets you and a friend order a side dish or appetizer without overeating. The wontons were surprisingly 'snappy' (like a good hot dog!) and stuffed with shrimp.
ALL the customers here were Chinese of all ages and I had a blast. -

One of the places I go to for some wonton mein, the noodles are cooked just right, and they have an elasticity to them that makes them real good. The size of the bowls are small, but you would be suprised that this usually is enough for one person. They serve some really good shrimp wonton, comparable to Mak's in Richmond.
They have a good sized menu for everything you need at a congee/noodle house. And they also have the late night menu with dishes ranging from $5 - $7, from your stir fried clams, to your fried chicken wings and tofu.
They also open till 2 AM everyday, even on Sunday, so if you need your fix of a small bowl of congee or noodles before you go to bed, well, just know this place is open. And it is located right across from the Purdy's Chocolate factory. Also, just remember to bring some dough, it's CASH only, and there is no banks that are really close.Listed in: Congee/Noodle/Rice Chinese…

This place meets my expectations when I'm tired of dimsum. My partner and I usually order their rice rolls (shrimp, Chinese donut, and beef) as they make it when you order it. Rice rolls are usually around $3.50-3.75 but I really like the fact that they make their own flour rolls. You can only get them during lunch time.
Their noodles and fried rice plates are quite good too - very decent price.
Their wonton soup with noodles caught me by surprise. They put the noodles and wonton in a smaller bowl now! That's quite sad.
Their late night menu is good if you're looking for some oily, but very tasty Chinese food. Each dish averages out to be $6.
I usually find myself coming back as there's not much to complain about. My partner and I usually eat $13.50 for lunch for the both of us! We usually leave pretty full. -

I am embarking on a new journey. And that is trying some staple chinese dishes. Whatever those may be.. I was craving wuntun soup. And I normally do not crave such things.
I sought out Yelp as usual and it brought me to this place. My boyfriend had the duck and noodles. He said it was okay.
I had the wuntun shrimp and pork dumpling noodle soup. Yum. Delicious crunchy shrimp in a nice broth with thin noodles.
Cheap and good. Filled my tummy.
Next time, I vow to try different things off of the menu. And then I'll be back with a new review. -

The place to go after I cross the border without fail. Great tasting food, and the best thing is... did I already mention tastes good? It's inexpensive as well. Their fried wonton is excellent, and I often order the beef brisket noodles. Dinner is great too, they offer a variety of dishes and they are not bad. Very tasty, and they will serve you FAST!
The only thing I have tasted better so far, is in Hong Kong :) -

LOVE their wonton noodle soup. In my opinion, it's the best wontons. Their wontons are made with big shrimps and made just right so it tastes awesome and not hard. I love going there for a late night munchies cure. No matter what we ordered, it all tasted really good. Fast service as well. The staff there are always friendly and no matter who I've taken there, they've always loved the food there. Great food, great prices!

Pretty decent as a late night spot, but for run of the mill chinese food, this place isn't even that good in terms of quality. i mean sure it's got the required level of grease to settle your stomach at the end of the night, but other places do it better.

Just visited Vancouver and followed my nephew and niece to this place. Very nice experience.
Food: very good, nephew recommended the Rice Hot Pot with Pig Neck - OMG - excellent dish. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare, but well worth the wait. The flavouring goes right through all the rice, and hint here - the best part is the "noong" at the bottom. Crispy rice with soy sauce/pork/mushroom flavor. Also had the congee and wonton, both above average for sure.
Service: extremely efficient and pleasant. The place was packed, but the two waitresses (someone told me one of them was the owner) hustled and made sure the food got to the table quickly. Open kitchen at the back so you could see the congee and wontons being ladled out.
Parking: a few spots at the rear, then street parking in front and side streets. Trust me, it's worth the time to find a space.
Overall, happy little place on a busy street. Food and service was very good.
