Anytime I cannot make it as far as Kensington, Wong's is always my fall back plan. Whether it is for a bouquet of flowers for someone's birthday, a pumpkin on Halloween, a tree at Christmas or just stocking up on fruits and veggies, they have everything I need. Their prices are reasonable and they are always so friendly and inviting.
They may not be a big convenience store but because the Trinity Bellwood's area lacks in fruit /veggie grocers, they are definitely convenient -

If you're ever in a pinch, Wong's a good place to stock up on your basic grocery needs.
Outside, you can find stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and fresh cut flowers. Inside, you can find more fruit and vegetables, and also spinach, mixed greens, onions, eggs, fresh herbs, milk and fresh bread.
Wong's isn't big but for a convenience store and grocer, they seem to be the only decent place between Spadina and Strachan to buy fresh produce at a decent price. I wouldn't buy their canned goods only because they're all brand names. You might as well as buy the no name kind at the supermarket.
I mainly shop here for their fresh-cut flowers. They have bins of pre-arranged bouquets from the simplistically frugal variety to the more exotic kind. Check out their seasonal stuff too; they sell Christmas trees and other accoutrement.
For the neighbourhood, Wong's great to have around. Plus they have great hours: they stay open late (at least past 8pm) which is very convenient.Listed in: My locals

I live down the street from Wong's and it's really a great place to have close by if you don't live near a grocery store.
I don't have a car so I tend to stock up when I go grocery shopping but I hate running out of fresh produce. This place has a ton of stuff - lots of different types of lettuce, citrus fruits, seasonal fruits, onions, peppers, herbs - you name it they've got it. And you'd expect this corner store to gouge you for the convenience but the prices are really quite reasonable.
I really recommend this to anyone looking for some fresh fruits and veggies. If you can't get to Dominion or Sobeys (or Kensington, which also has great produce) this is a great second choice! Oh and don't forget to stop and smell some of their absolutely beautiful flower arrangements.
