When you first walk in you get a real bar vibe. Dark and the smell of beer. We stopped by for a brunch about mid-morning on a Sunday and the place only had a few patrons which surprised me.
I got the steak and eggs with coffee and it was delicious. The steak was done as ordered and the food was hot and plentiful. Two eggs, toast, home fries and of course the steak all for 10 bucks.
Service was quick and prompt. I was impressed and will return again when the opportunity arises.

It's nice to have a pub in Clayton park, and Winston's is situated in the perfect spot.

I've been to Winstons a few times to grab a bite and a beer. Went in last evening with some collegues, this is a rare occasion because we work in the hotel industry and very rarely all have the same night off. We chose Winston's because we all live relatively close (and could stuumble home if we needed to) I felt a tad out of place as you can tell who the regulars are, and there are a number of them but we had a good time.

We had some beer and some grub. Beer was cold and grub was decent although nothing spectacular. Our server was friendly and efficient.

The place is huge and I've heard they have some decent bands and DJ's on weekends, but I have never seen it packed. So ya, every once and a while when my work buddies and I have the same night off again, we will return.

The good old " Copper Penny" has had a great make over. Winston's looks great new floors, tables and a new crowd. I have been going to this location for years on the weekends to dance up a storm with the girls. But some people don't know that Winston's has the best potato skins around with all the great toppings and large portions. My GF and I went there when she came from Ottawa and she was very surprised by the new look. Yes this was done sometime ago but she has not been home for years. Sheila had that potato skins under $10 and I had the hot wings and we shared.

During the week the is no band playing and if I am not mistaken no DJ either. Music could have been a bit better but what do you expect for a Wednesday night.

Winston's on the weekend is the hot spot in Clayton park and is normally filled with people playing pool in the side room or those lovely machines don't get me started on those! Anyway for somewhere fun and close to home check it out.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this spot. I know right away that it isn't a spot I'd dally around for long. But for the right clientele... it could be a safe haven.

Think: "great light-rock hits". Radio-friendly, classic rock vibes that keeps atmosphere easy and light-hearted. Winston's has a sports bar aesthetic, but then one may notice the neon lighting and mini dance-floor, and realize that these folks are ready to get down and dirty as well.

Lots of drink options, and the menu seems extensive. I can't elaborate, however, as this is just not a vibe i can dig... Sorry Winston.

Winston's is the new face on an old Clayton Park favourite - the Copper Penny.  Born again as Clayton Park's "one stop food, drink and entertainment complex", Winston's is trying to appeal to a higher class of clientele than it has attracted in former incarnations.

To a certain extent, it seems to be working.  The menu has expanded to include many new options, offering everything from steak to Greek kebabs.  The beer menu has grown as well, with both domestic and imports available either on tap or by the bottle.  Winston's even promises margaritas and martinis - a distinct deviation from time gone by.

Winston's promises live bands and hot DJ action.  As well, they seem to have a hypnotist on staff, as "world class x-rated hypnotist Damian" appears on the roster at least once a month.

Winston's is the main watering hole for many folks in the Clayton Park/ Fairview area. Formerly known as the Copper Penny, the restaurant is known for it's wings, pub food and live entertainment.

While Winston's doesn't always draw the most spectacular crowds, it has many regular/ returning customers, and is almost always a busy and happening place.

Winston's , formerly the Copper Penny, which I guess it will always be to me, has been established for quite some time. CP/Winstons has it's regulars and is a pretty central place for Clayton Park.

Sometimes you can catch a live band there. There is a dance floor to test out those new moves on. The crowd can be varied. I find in the evening it is a younger crowd, but the daytime/early evening get the mid crowd for lunch and supper.

Only go here, if all the pizza joints say there will be a 3 hour wait, or if everything is jam packed with people since it's between 5-7pm... because it's not rockin'.

I've only eaten here three time, breakfast, lunch and supper.  The breakfast was good because it was greasy and cheap, the lunch was a chicken stir fry which was really good, and for supper I had a Turkey Dinner.

The Turkey Dinner is 'meh', since the potatoes are from a box, the cranberry sauce comes in a small package for children and the gravy is from a can.  But Hey!  They serve Orange Crush here!!!

All in all, it's a decent place to go if you're starving, or if someone is in a band (or you are with the band) is playing... otherwise, be prepared to be hit-on by the local drunks.  Oh and you will probably have people blow their cigarette smoke towards you on your way in and hear them say "I'm on the Pill!!"

    It's a bit sketchy
