The Winspear! What can I say? A fabulous venue for many concerts that I've seen over the years. Michael Buble, Hawksley, the ESO and others. (And MB even touched my hand! That alone is worth 5 stars.)

It's a beautiful hall with a beautiful pipe organ, great drinks and friendly staff and bartenders, clean bathrooms, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Seriously. Even the lobby is a great open space with huge windows all along the front.

Oh, and it's a great wedding venue, too!

The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra at the Winspear Centre was absolutely divine. I highly recommend anyone in Edmonton or visiting to see the ESO.  The venue is beautifully designed with a lovely open atrium and gathering space to enjoy before, during intermission and after the show and the space itself was absolutely incredible.

The sound was perfect but what made the event was the guest Cameron Carpenter who played the stunning organ.  For the first half of the performance was down on the stage but the tuning wasn't quite right for him so he played the second half up at the loft on the organ itself and it was absolutely stunning.

I highly recommend seeing what you can here, the acoustics are stunning and from what I could tell there isn't a bad seat in the house.

The Winspear Centre is Edmonton's pride and joy for the arts entertainment venues. The balcony or floor seats provide you ultimate in sound quality. You are hard pressed to find a bad seat here. It so comfortable and relaxing at the Winspear. Upstairs in the lobby they sell drinks and wine as well.

We seen a few bands during the Jazz Festival and Mariam Makeba (Oh The Lion Sleeps Tonight) at the Winspear. We thoroughly enjoyed it all.

I do look forwards to seeing other events here and Edmonton can be very proud to show off the Winspear Centre.

Beautiful concert hall, brutalist design?Odd for the time when it was built. Best organ in the city! Sound reverbs beautifully.

Oh Winspear, how I love thee.

The Winspear Centre is another reason why Edmonton has such a great arts scene - we have the facilities!  The Winspear is far more than just a facility for great music though, it's an experience.

This beautiful theatre is the prime location for concerts.  The acoustics are beyond amazing and the atmosphere demands respect.

It's amazing how different instruments and vocals can sound when they have the right environment to project them.  It is an incredible experience.  I love closing my eyes when I'm at a concert at the Winspear because I get completely lost in the music.  It carries me away.

If you've never experienced a concert at the Winspear, whether you love music or not,  I suggest you do so the next chance you get.  It's a part of Edmonton and it's a part of my heart.

I've gone here on several occasions for concerts.

The time I remember most vividly was the time I went here to see my cousin in a violin concert. The music floated through the hall so beautifully. It was not overwhelming or too quiet. It was literally perfect.

That is until a little kid threw up in the isle and the entire place started to stink of child barf. Yuck. Obviously this was not the Winspear's fault, and so I do not dock stars or points for the situation.

The lobby of the Winspear is also very beautiful. It is simple, but very light because of the front windows.

All in all, a very beautiful place to listen to music or see a concert of any kind. All Edmontonians should experience the  Winspear.

Edmonton's premiere music concert hall is one of my favourite things about our thriving arts community. I've seen lots of concerts here, my most memorable being Cesaria Evora, the barefoot diva who shook the place with her powerful voice and soul tunes. The acoustics are phenomenal, not to mention the Davis Organ, which is only about six years old, is an amazing experience to hear. When the Opera couldn't perform for a year at The Jube, I saw all of their shows here, which were well adapted to the Winspear space. I've seen The Nutcracker here, and lots of symphony shows, with guest performers. You can always anticipate a good show here, and there's something in the season's line-up for every taste, whether that be classical, latin, jazz, blues or rock. I'd like to get a season's pass one day. It's a good date night for couples or a cultural girls' night out.
