The easiest way to seduce me is by whispering one little word into my ear... Winners.
When it comes to Winners, I'm addicted.
The Mount Pleasant location is one of my faves because not only does it blend the best of Winners and Homesense, it's also right next to a Home Depot, Best Buy, Canadian Tire, and so much more. Basically, it's a  one stop shopping destination. Very convenient!!!
And here's the thing that not many people tend to realize... Homesense has an AMAZING selection of gourmet foods and ingredients. I'm talking spices, sauces, pastas, powders, mixes and dressings that would cost you a bloody fortune, or can only be found in fancy shmancy specialty shops... all at a discounted price at this Homesense/Winners locations. Oh! And just a heads up, this is also an AMAZING source of reasonably priced non-perishable organic goods and health foods.

Winners is also my go-to place for clothes, home decor, AND bedding. You wanna find some amazing bamboo sheets at a price that you can actually afford? This is the place you wanna go. 1000 thread count sheets? Uh huh. Winners/Homesense.

If loving Winners is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

One of my favourite Winner's, simply b/c of the surrounding amenities like Save On, Canadian Tire, Whole Foods, and Wendy's too if I ever need a malt lol.

But seriously, i find it's not as muddled and disorganized like the one in Lansdowne.  Maybe that's more family-oriented and families bring their kids who end up messing things around, however, this Cambie is not just tidier, but also much larger.  Perhaps combined w/ Home Sense too?

And at least for the men's section, think there are more name brands or at least more of each label, ie. Calvin Klein's.

as stated in other reviews, you really do have find a treasure or bargain, after enough visits.

Ahhhhh..of all the Winners I ever go to, this is my pick.
    1) its the closest to work
    2) its not necessarily a hot mess EVERYWHERE in the store & if it is, you dont notice too much of it since it's such a big store
    3) LOVE LOVE LOVE the selection of cookware, cookbooks & gadgets

I try to minimize the amount of visits I make to this place..I usually end up spending a good $140-180 every time I am in there.

The pet stuff that is available is wonderful!  They recently had a leather sofa for dogs and if my dog wasn't so pudgy, that would have been his birthday gift!

There are also organic food items for cheap and holistic pet food available if you take a good peek around.

The sale section is wonderful!  Usually a great abundance and great prices..hasn't failed to suck my wallet dry just yet.

Great place to get Christmas gifts for kids as well!  Lots of eco-friendly toys and Melissa & Doug toys!

I never have any luck at Winners.  I check out the odd location from time to time, but I've only purchased one yoga top in the past five years.

That being said, this Winners location has a ton of stock.  There is literally racks and racks of clothes.  From tank tops to dress shirts to workout clothes, this Winners has it all.  If you're patient (unlike me), you can easily find lots of gems in the racks.  Compared to other Winners locations, this store is much more organized and quieter, which makes it much easier to find something you like.

As for the Home Sense side, it is not as well stocked as the Winners side.  That being said, there is still lots of options and good deals to be found.

If you're a bargain hunter, this is definitely the place to go.

This is one of my favorite Winners because it is in a lower traffic area and the store is never noticeably busy...that is until you get to the line up. There line up to pay is always stupidly long!

This location like many is huge, I have gone in here many times for just 1 item and left the store 2 or 3 hours later. I have also picked up some great clearance items for super cheap however you have to check the clearance/sale items super close for flaws because a lot of them are torn or the zippers don't work. I've noticed Winners never removes damaged items from the shelf, they just mark them down.

This store has a lot of popular designer shoes, purses and accessories but most of the clothing is designers I've never heard of.

A shoppers heaven for discount items on clothing, shoes, bags, accessories. This location also shares the same space with their sister store - Homesense. Thus, it's also a great place to purchase housewares, kitchen gadgets, home decor, etc.

You need to bring your patience when you shop here... especially if you are shopping for clothes. Deals are to be had here, but you literally have to go through every single piece of clothing on a rack. Quite tedious and time consuming. Inventory is not as plentiful as their other stores in Richmond and North Vancouver.

The Homesense side of the store is better organized. Pretty easy to locate items. Again, lacking in inventory.. but this probably due to its smaller store size.

I would normally give Winners/Homesense 4 stars for their "deals". But I have to downgrade this rating to a 3* for their service.

I am not the most patient shopper. I like shopping to be a pleasant experience, not an afternoon of work. Winners was not made for a shopper like me. Winners is the place for hard-working treasure hunters with a knowledge of name-brands and keen eye for a bargain.

I have some friends that fit that description, and it can be a lot of fun to head into Winners with them. They are my tour guides through the disorganized mounds of sweaters and overflowing bins of discounted sox. On my own, I tend to lose interest quickly and there never seems to be any staffers around willing to help lost customers. Every woman for herself!

This particular location is fairly new and conveniently paired with HomeSense, so it makes for a quick 2-for-1 shopping stop. If you can find anything quickly among the overflowing rows and racks ...

Frankly, I don't really have the patience for Winners. A visit often entails a lot of patience and time. The aisles are often disorderly and staff reluctant to help you source out the location of a particular item. Things have a very helter-skelter feel, thus making you work hard for your bargains.

This said, when you ARE able to find stuff, it's usually a great deal. For the fashion-minded, their selection of fall and winter boots is amazing this year.. well, there are amazing pieces amongst the less than stellar styles. Clothing at this particular location is usually hit or miss. There's no real consistency when it comes to styles and it's often hard to find sizes because things are frequently re-shuffled by fellow customers, et al.

Regardless, though, Winners often has some really good finds, particularly in the home and cookware sections.

I LOVE Winners and buy the majority of my clothing there (not going to lie!). The reason I am such a fan is because I am a sucker for designer  brands and quality but don't care to spend a fortune on my closet. Plus I can buy more shoes without feeling guilty! There is also the 'treasure hunt component' which makes the whole shopping trip fun and exciting. With this said, you need a good hour to make it worth your while.

The reason I only gave it 4 stars because I feel this particular location of Winners is not very good. But like pizza, a bad Winners is still pretty good! It is great to have the Home Sense combo but even then I find the inventory a bit sparse. They need more of the fresh shipments arriving daily like they advertise on their fun TV commercials!

Maybe I just came on a good day (meaning not on the weekend), but I was pretty impressed by this Winners/Home Sense location. The place is huge and has a large selection of clothing for men, women, and kids, plus a lot of other stuff like toys, shoes, handbags and yoga mats. If you are willing to dig, you just might find yourself a Cynthia Rowley purse tucked between $30 pleather bags.

The location of this Winners and Home Sense is ideal.  Right beside a giant Home Depot (and without the bothersome crossing of the Lionsgate for the other Winners or the no-parking dilemma of the downtown location) this is the location I go to.  It is a spend a few hours kind of place, but when you do you will love it.  You do find very beautiful items for cheaper than usual, the brand names, the denims, homewear, shoes and dresses.  You do have to look though.  Aisles and aisles of bags, scarves and discount items await you for this discount brand name shopping experience.

Good place for cheap random gift shopping, clothes and housewares.

Good for some discounts but some discounts are overrated so beware. For instance, clothes will say the "compare to" price which is MSRP or something, and then the winners price is usually at least 20% off. But the clothes are usually tacky or just a bad fit. Good luck finding your size! I personally think a good 40% off sale at The Bay or Sears is better bang for your buck because you can get the latest fashion for cheaper than an outdated style from Winners.

Has a good selection of housewares, but not always the best quality and the make can deceive you that they are made in Europe. I've purchased pots from the kitchen area, and they pretty much all say they are some European design. But beware, these supposedly European items are actually MADE IN CHINA! If it says made in Italy for instance, than it is definitely made in Italy. But if it says "Tivoli Italy" then it is likely made in China (I bought Tivoli pots). And if it says "Italian designed" then it is probably China as well. So don't think you are getting some good deal on some quality item. The Tivoli pots I purchase by the way, I googled them one day to see if I could put them in the oven (to see if the plastic handles were oven save) and I could not find that brand anywhere online! So I think it was basically a non-existant name brand made for discount retailers, had a nice tag that made it look like a quality item, but was actually junk! The pot even started showing pits in the stainless steel not long after I bought it.

They also have a good selection of bath stuff like towels, bedding, pillows, candles, lamps, rugs, toiletries, a lot of weird ugly designs of everything though.

So... not all products at Winners are discounted brand name items, but this is a good place to browse around.
