I love Winners, the fact that each Winners carries a different selection of goods makes each trip a treasure hunt.
This winners just did a major overhaul on their beauty section. I actually bought by skin care line here at a fraction of the price I pay at Shoppers Drug Mart. I was very surprised to see it here. They have a huge organized section now, two rows of wonderfully displayed products, from hair care , skin care and perfumes. I have always bought my hair products at Winners, you just get such a great value, and why not buy here.
I usually, as much as possible shop at Winners, the cloths in the Boutiques, and downtown Halifax, are over priced. They cater to the tourists. Not really where I want to spend my money.
I am all for supporting the local companies, but if I can't afford to shop there, I have to go where I can get quality brand names at a fraction of the cost. -

I think we can all agree that Winners is a great place to get great deals. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, bath and body products, home goods, the list goes on and on. Of course, not all deals were created equal - sometimes the markdowns aren't that fantastic, but sometimes the prices are so good it's almost like stealing! You can be guaranteed to find great seasonal stuff at this location and whether you want to get some new kitchen tools on the cheap or splurge on a new brand-name purse, you can do it at Winners and save a bundle.

The only reason I'm writing this review is to inform the uniformed about a specific hot tidbit that I garnered when I recently visited this department store. Ready?
They carry some organic, quality ingredient brands of lotions, sunscreens, shampoos and body washes at LOW prices. The shampoo that I've been using lately was on sale in a mega-sized bottle for the price of the teensy bottle I have. Plus, they have some great sunscreens that they carry at Planet Organic at Winners for a fraction of the price.
I read through some of the ingredients of the various brands that I'd never heard of and was pleasantly surprised to find that some of them were A-Okay! If you're looking for some new body products, you should swing by this Winners. There's a huge assortment and the prices are unbeatable. Tip revealed. That's all I've got for you. -

The anti-consumerist in me is cringing at that five-star review, but I am a huge fan of Winners stores due to my frugality and love of useful objects. They are not where I look for fashion forward clothing, but I do occasionally find great deals of things like cashmere sweaters or socks and tights. My boyfriend's slippers, which he loves, are also a Winners find. But the area where Winners really shines in my eyes is the home section. When we moved across the country to Halifax we got a TON of stuff for our new place here at a steep discount. Looking around my house now, I can thank Winners for our pillows, hangers, comforter cover, drinking glasses, cutting boards, kitchen towels, and probably plenty of other things that I can't remember. It takes an undesirable trip to the mall to get there, but Winners has come through with good deals on quality items so many times that it cannot be ignored.
