Review from Liz M.
We needed a quick and easy place to spend three days in Vancouver this July, and based on the price, we thought we would try here. It's in a really pretty neighborhood and in walking distance of downtown if you don't mind walking. It's also close to the running path which is nice to take either across to Stanley Park or over to Granville Island. Thank goodness it was on the cooler side because our room had no air conditioning, and we had to MacGyver a fan in the propped open window to get the cool air in. Worked like a charm!
The bed was comfortable if you already have metal rods in your back, and the breakfast made me believe Canada just doesn't believe in meat in the morning. I believe in the power of the pig. It's what's for breakfast! They really only had two options: eggs or pancakes, but there was fresh-made baked goods which were a nice touch. One turn off is they only serve breakfast from 8:00-10:00 so we fit a run in before and by that point a few people had eaten and left.
The family who runs the place is friendly, but always seems a bit flustered. Overall, go here if you have a few days and don't mind walking, but beware, for us late night eaters, NOTHING was open past 9:00 on that side of the river.
