If I were going to go watch a hockey game at a bar in Montreal, Wilson would be my #1 choice. It has just enough class to avoid the feet-sticking-to-the-floor, drunk-hooligan-elbowing-my-ribs vibe you find at many sports bars, yet it still maintains the friendly comforts and passions of you local watering hole.
Wilson is a solid, upscale steakhouse and seafood restaurant in the heart of the International Square in Old Montreal.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, obtaining a look that is both chic and comfortable. I love the bar area - the drinks are expertly mixed and always generous. Provided with the right company, I could spend days there.
The staff at Wilson have an incredible ability to project an air of high class sophistication, yet instill a warmth and personality at their table that sets everyone at ease.
And of course, the food is certainly excellent. Both steaks and seafood are always cooked to perfection. Wine suggestions are spot on. I'd highly recommend the Lobster & Foie Gras salad, the Prime Angus Carpaccio, and the Red Tuna filet.
Highly recommend, can't wait to go back!
